These politicians don't deserve to be in power. They are the type of people that destroys the country. Hell they don't deserve to be alive. This calls for vigilante justice as the laws only protect the politicians and not the population. Justice will be served.

High ranking government officials ( DAR secretary and a mayor ) bodyguards beat up a civilian and a 14 year old boy, this is disgusting! Whoever instigated the yelling and name calling is not important, words don't cause physical harm, the dogs who threw punches and the person who holds the lease should be accountable and should be punished. This is in line with Filipinos attitude when they are in power, they expect everybody else to wait in line for them and that they can get away with anything. They don't even know how to apologize, SHAMELESS. Bambi set up an account be happy to contribute to fund your fight

12 Things that the Valley Golf mauling effectively proved

12 Things that the Valley Golf mauling effectively proved

12. The pen is mightier than the biggest PR or crisis management budget (Tons of cash cannot buy minds with unwavering conviction – for further validation, go ask several Senatorial bets who spent a fortune in 2007… for nought)

11. The noisiest screw gets oiled first

10. Most of our politicians – from the most lowly to the most high – are guilty of hubris

Hubris denotes overconfident pride and arrogance; it is often
associated with a lack of humility, not always with the lack of
knowledge. An accusation of hubris often implies that suffering
or punishment will follow, similar to the occasional pairing of
hubris and nemesis in the Greek world. The proverb "pride goes
before a fall" is thought to sum up the modern definition of hubris.

9. Filipino government officials – even when caught red-handed doing 'bad' things – never resign… because, they serve "at the pleasure of the President"

8. It pays to have writing skills when you're up against abusive, ill-educated powerful people

7. At least, for a while, we may hear less and less of this line: "baka hindi mo kilala me…"

6. Golfers should make a canister of mace and a baseball bat standard golf accessories

5. People who work in golf courses do not see or hear very well

4. Being seen playing golf with the First Son, after a barrage of negative press, is not a very smart move

3. Filipinos will never be docile again because of the internet

2. Technology can be put to good use – especially when exposing misdeeds and scandalous conduct

1. The Pangandamans are in deep shit

Bambee I am proud of you being the daughter trying your best to protect your family and fighting for your rights.

But maybe your father deserve to be beaten up baka mayabang din ang tatay mo at nakahanap ng katapat. At ang mga Pangandaman din ay mayabang at nakahanap din ng katapat. They deserve each other

This incident is a lesson. let us be low keyed whoever we are.

Pauly and Tem, tama kayo dyan.
I heard from beginning to end the first time bambee's dad called on radio station DZRH (Mr. Andy Vital was the announcer on board at the time) and I sensed an air of arrogance on your dad, like the pangandaman's and other politicos and filthy rich personages in the philippines. I personally experienced put downs from these people when I visited the philippines.

there's an english saying that goes: "be careful of the toes you're stepping on, it might be the ass you'll be kissing later on."

kawawa si bino kung mayroon syang internal injuries na hindi pa apparent right now, but will manifest later on in his life - God forbid, huwag naman sana.

TELL THE TRUTH BAMBEE...IT WILL SET YOU FREE!

"I just spent some time with the head of the fact-finding committee. He has submitted all pertinent facts to the board and leaves it to them to make the necessary decision based on all the facts. I will outline the facts to you as it was outlined to me. Rest assured that the facts were obtained from all parties involved and all witnesses at each incident site. The statements were obtained both by the valley fact-finding group and by the NBI as well. Testimonies were recorded, verified, and re-verified. Fortunately for the parties involved, there were always witnesses to give supporting statements on the events as they occurred.

I will compose the outline shortly as it will be lengthy but just to whet your appetite or get you thinking, you will be quite surprised with the findings. Let's put it this way, the people we thought of as villains weren't quite what they were depicted to be. and the supposed protagonists may have yet been quite as factual in their testimony as it turns out to be. Even our 14-year old isn't as innocent and "prayerful" when all the details come out. just give me a few minutes....

In the interest of making sure that no facts might be left undisclosed, I will take it upon myself to start from the very beginning. Firstly let us start by saying that on or at about 12:40 p.m., the party of the Pangandaman's registered at the starter's area. They registered for 2 flights comprised of 4 individuals per flight. Unfortunately, they still had 2 members of their group that had not yet arrived, so they initially tee'd off as 2 successive threesomes. The starter and marshall were informed that the 2 individuals that had not yet arrived would just catch up with them in the fairway. On or at about 1:05 p.m. the Dela Paz group registered initially as a twosome but since this isn't normally allowed, they registered as a 3-some even if the elder Mr. Dela Paz was not really going to play.

When the Dela Paz 3-some was playing on hole number 3, they were passed by 2 golf carts containing Mayor Pangandaman and his companion (in one cart) and the caddies being brought by one of the starter personnell. The Pangandaman's did not ask permission to drive through because they did not want to disturb the Dela Paz's who were in the middle of the fairway. Upon reaching the green of the 3rd hole, Mr. Dela Paz asked the caddie why the people in the cart just went through. Mayor Pangandaman who was already positioned at the 4th hole, personally informed Mr. Dela Paz that they were part of 2 foursomes. At this point, Mr. Dela Paz said "ah okay, courtesy lang naman". This was verified by the caddies. Mr. Pangandaman said that he did not disturb them anymore because the player was about to hit. At this point, Mayor Pangandaman thought everything was okay so he proceeded to the 4th hole (Par 3) where his other flightmates were. In the records it says that Mr. Pangandaman was not yet even done pitching into the green when a ball landed near his 8-year old child so they immediately made sure the child was secured in the cart. ( For those unaware of the common practice at Valley Golf, on every par 3, the group behind you is signaled to hit into the green once everyone from your group is already on the green) Until you have been cleared to hit by the group ahead, you should not hit into the green. It is common sense and basic precautionary procedure.

In this particular case, we have no corroborative testimony. One set of caddies say they were given clearance, while the other say that no clearance was given as of yet when the ball/s had landed.

The Pangandaman's claim that the same situation happened in the 5th hole (Par5). Even the caddied confirmed this. At this time, Bambee Dela Paz had called the Marshall to tell him that the flight behind them was complaining about why their pace was slow and that the cause of the delay was the 5-some in front of them. Shortly thereafter, a marshall on his motorcycle appeared and approached the Pangandaman's and asked if they were playing as a fivesome to which the Mayor said no. "We are 2 foursomes". Nonetheless, the Pangandaman's had already agreed among themselves that they would rather the Dela Paz's play through. The Mayor was even quoted saying to his Father. " magagaling yung mga bata at malakas pumalo, baka mabagalan sa atin" They informed the marshall that they would just let the Dela Paz group play through and the marshall informed the Mr. Dela Paz of this. ( Just as an aside, the investigative group actually asked the group behind Dela paz if indeed they had complained about the slow down and the group said that the y said no such thing to the Dela paz flight. They were not even in contact at anytime before they arrived at the tee house to see the fight and eventually help stop it) When the Delapaz group reached the green of hole 5, the caddies of the 2 kids gave them their drivers so that they would waste no time playing through. The Mayor, who at that time was sitting along with their companions, stood up to personally tell Mr. Dela Paz to play through. Caddies, and the tee house server claim that the Mayor told Dela Paz na "Mauna na ho kayo" and walked to approach Dela Paz, The response of Dela Paz was "Huwag mo akong pagtaasan ng boses" Dela Paz began to question the Mayor why they were playing as a fivesome. The Mayor said that this was not the case but Dela Paz was insisting and even said (again corroborated by the caddies) "Linoloko mo ba ako?" "Member ka ba dito, Kilala mo ba ako?" (as you can see, this question did not come from Pangandaman. In fact, in the recorded testimony, this is exactly what Pangandaman claimed delapaz had said to him and yet in Delapaz' recorded statement, he never said that the mayor asked him " kilala mo ba ako" Completely different from when the media was already involved.

When Delapaz was posing the above question, the mayor was heard to say. "Sandali lang, hindi naman tayo nagaaway dito. Akala ko ba naayos na natin yung issue kanina sa hole 3? At about this point Delapaz closed his umbrella and then poked the mayor on his stomach using the pointed end ( some caddies say Dela Paz swung the umbrella and some say that he poked the Mayor) The investigative board asked Dela Paz what he did, he said that he poked the Mayor in self defense. When asked who was attacking him, Dela Paz said that he was being surrounded by 4 men. The caddies and other witnesses on hand said that when the umbrella incident happened, it was only Dela Paz and the mayor that were talking. The other parties were in the tee house about 15-20 yards away. The Mayor says he was poked and so he backed off and just as he was about to be poked again, his brother, Hussein ran and attacked Delapaz and hit Delapaz knocking him to the ground.( At this point the commotion took place. One of the things observed is 14-year old Bino hit the Mayor with his driver. Apparently, the mayor parried with his forearm and hand so this is where he sustaned the injury. In the process also, Hussein was being pulled off the older dela paz by his 2 children but again Bino was seen to hit Hussein in the face and head while Bambee had scratched the other side of Husseins face. At this time also, witnesses say, that 3 or 4 other members of the flight excluding the Secretary, the 8-year old boy, and the girlfriend of Hussein were involved in attacking or subduing the older dela paz but this lasted very shortly and when the combatants had been separated the existing people in the tee house as well as the new flight that was playing behind the dela paz's.

At this point the Secretary told the delapaz group to leave so as to avoid any more trouble. As the elder delapaz was leaving he was heard calling someone on his cellphone saying " may away kami, pumunta kayo dito"
No one knew who delapaz was speaking to as he walked away towards the main clubhouse. A few minutes later, the secretary and his group decided to end the day instead of continuing to play. When they got to the clubhouse, Hussein wanted to wash up because he was bleeding in the neck area. As he got near the reception area, he saw delapaz and was heard to have said "O, nandito pa pala kayo" to which Dela Paz said "Hindi pa tapos ito gaganti pa kami". At this point, Bino got in between his Dad and Hussein while saying " Tatandaan ka namin" (None of the witnesses in the clubhouse, and there were many, ever saw Bino kneel and say that he was only 14 years old at maawa na sila) On the contrary, Bino was acting like anything but a helpless child. He sounded tough, angry, and antagonistic enough that the fight broke out again. At this point, the bodyguards of the Mayor ran into the clubhouse via the poolside entrance. When questioned about this, the mayor said that one was his driver and the other was his "Yayo". As far as the board was concerned, the "Yayo" was also a bodyguard. Said Yayo came into the clubhouse with a clutchbag containing a gun and brought out the gun without pointing it at anyone. The Mayor immediately instructed him that there was no need for guns and the gun was put back. During the investigation, the Mayor said that the handgun was his and that his "yayo" was likely going to give it to him but he declined. Upon instructing his "yayo", the man just stayed in one corner. At this time the wife of Dela Paz and his other son arrived. The son was wielding a baseball bat and the wife had a knife which she pulled out of a scabbard. These two were subdued by security but they were verbally threatening the Pangandaman's during this time. There was also a reported incident where the driver of the mayor ran out and came back with a suitcase containing a supposed armalite as claimed by valley security. The driver never pulled it out or pointed it at anyone but it was readily accesible"

The Filipino public are either just really nice people offering the proverbial 'other cheek' or yellow bellied, pieces of chicken s#it. Afraid of the morons they elected into office. If you ask me, Filipinos deserve their leaders and those leaders suck. These politicians (and their equally corrupt kin deserve to be stoned in public for the gall they display. Kitang-kita na nangungurakot sila (hello!! Look at their expensive cars, houses and what have you.) at ipinamudmudmod pa sa mga mukha ng Pinoy na pinayayaman ninyo pa lalo silang lahat! You want change? Oust them all! The government should be afraid of its people.. Not the other way around. I empathize with Bambi's statement in her blog. That lawyer Fortun said it.. Its obvious who the aggressive party is. The officials at Valley Golf are cowards. It should be boycotted. As for the politician.. He's not even from around here and he's pushing his weight around. Calling him and his ilk dense is the understatement of the decade. They WILL rot in hell. People like them anyway, even thought it will take years to burn through their thick hides.

Then they came to pick up Jun Lozada from the airport for a long, long ride, and I didn’t speak up because I was “apathetic”.

Then they came to push for Con-Ass to prolong the Malacanang tenant’s stay beyond 2010, and I didn’t speak up because I was “apolitical”.

Then they came to bully a 14-year old boy and his dad in the golf course and I didn’t speak up because…… I wasn’t an “elistista”!

Then they came for me……. and by that time no one was left to speak up.

Given all the imperfections of the human race, there are only two kinds of people: 'The Good and the Bad'.

And the Holy Scriptures (the Bible or the Koran or any religious belief) say: "And the good shall reap the blessings of Heaven.”

– but then, how do we define goodness? If we are to assume that the cabinet members of the present administration can beat other people in order to be good, then we should also start beating other people –to be considered good.

For ‘delicadeza’ , the president should immediately fire erring cabinet members without the benefit of a judicial circus. The very idea of hearing government officials acting like gangsters belies the image of a much mediatised church going president.

–but then, we are all a bunch of ignorant people to be fooled by ignorant politicians. I hope that this frenzy of protests won’t die down quietly the way NBN-ZTE, Hello Garci, Fertilizer and other scams evaporated to heaven.

Tell me, who is now reaping the blessings from heaven? Where is now the CBCP who is good in putting people into power by way of the Cross?

Maybe they also get a share of the blessings. And we only get but morsels.

God Bless the Philippines.

God Bless you and your family Bambee. Please stay safe.

NOTE: This has no political motivation. It’s just a simple analysis.

NO DOUBT ! NO dounts on how the Pangandamans and their gooks behaved in the golf course. Yang mga MOROS na mga iyan, wala naman kasi ganyan sa MARAWI and MASIU, Lanao Sur. These people don't follow any rule and tenets where ever they are. IM from MIndanao, one good reason why the Christians don't want to mix with the MOROS is that they are UNRULY. They don't even follow simple procedures like, falling in line and wait for their turn. Ano nga ba ang policy ng golf course regarding possession of guns and verifying its members? Pano nga ba nakapasok ang mga gooks sa course? Ano ang role ng nga Marshalls? These people should be BANNED in the golf course for sure. The Panagandaman Sr.(DAR chief, who's agency that got involved in multi-million scam with Joc-Joc Bolante...) has been appointed as a panel member for the GRP=MILF peace talks, I realy doubt on his ability to handle situation like pacifying the rebels to get into the folds of the law, while his SONS and GOOKS were engaged mauling a 56 year old decent man and his 14 year-old son. You have my support on your fight against these abusive and mindless Gov't officials. I haven’t seen (or heard) anything yet about "People of the Philippines vs. the Pangadamans"; meaning the Fiscal's office should automatically prosecute the criminals involved, assuming that beating is considered a criminal offence in the Philippines.

Any lawyer on-board please?

(In the country where I live, the prosecutor comes after your crime kahit hindi magdemanda ang offended party. This must be the reason why their Prime Minister walks around the park without a bodyguard.)

that's what i call balanced reporting.
ingat bambee lagi, mas higit na napakayelo ngayong taong ito dito sa east coast kesa noong mga nakaraang panahon.

God is with you de la Paz family. God is always there and the media who’s protector of the truth. And for Pangandaman, just a simple message to you, you are not invincible!!!

Unfortunately Bambee, the most you will get as far as justice is concerned against these SOBs is a slap on the wrist if at all. I used to be a senior political reporter in one of the major broadsheets in Manila before I moved here in the US and based on my experience that's about it. He filed a libel case against you because of what you wrote about the incident, that's pure harrassment and nothing will come out of that. So don't worry about it. Let your lawyer bury that for you. In fact, welcome it it's good publicity for your cause, which is what you want. There are several ways I can suggest for you to get justice.

1. You can try to file a case against them before the DILG under whose authority the mayor falls. But from what I know, the Pangandamans are close to Sec Puno so that's that.
2. You can get justice also, and this is what happened back in the late 80s and early 90s, by giving their names to the hit squad Alex Boncayao Brigade (ABB) and for sure they will be on D hit list and could end up with .45 cal bullet in their empty nutshells. Unfortunately, the ABB is no more so what other remedy can you do?

3.Aside from waiting years for your case to get promulgated in court, you could campaign against them this coming election and if you could provide photos of your dad and brother with their injuries- bleeding ear, beat up face, etc (kung walang photos i pa "drawing" mo sa mga photogs and they know it when you tell them that) to give your campaign an actual face.

To tell you the truth, if President GMA herself doesn't give a F--K about her misdemeaning DAR Secretary then there's nothing much you can do.

Best way is to take your cause to the bar of public opinion and let the blind hand of media do the whipping for you. They're hurting now the fact that JR filed a libel case against you. Just keep it up. I used to bring officials like these to their knees back in the day.

Trust me, public opinion hurts more than a bullet in the nut. Power to the Pen!

The BullPen

wala talaga said...

Bambee,

These countercharges they're filing against you... I hope you're prepared for it.

Ganyan talaga yan. Objective nila is ultimately, mag-amicable stettlement kayo out of court.

Makakalimutan ng lahat ang nagyari dahil mawawalan not for long ng interest ang public dahil na rin sa non-coverage ng media. then all "will be going home happy".

And in the end, family ninyo ang talo. Kasi expect these people to come back after you on other issues.

Tingnan mo yung NBN-ZTE... Jose Pidal issue... Northrail Project... Fertilizer scam... and many. many more cases involving the high and mighty, wala na.

Sino ang kawawa after the smoke has cleared and the public has let off its steam? Yung mga maliliit na tao who made the mistake of asking for justice. So, prepare for the worse.

Your family may not be considered "maliit na tao" and maybe your Dad did instigate what ultimately resulted into this lopside brawl... maybe your kid brother did try to help your Dad by fighting back... and maybe you yourself did try your best to help your fallen Dad and kid brother, pero hindi yan excuse para sa warlords to show off and arrogantly shout: "Hindi niyo ba ako kilala?!", sabay sapok sa mukha ng batang nagmamakaawa.

Just keep posting here all the harassments they'd do to you and your family. Para alam ng mundo. I guess, yan na lang ang laban ninyo sa ngayon.

Don't be so naive as to expect justice from our courts though. That's not the way things are played behind the scene. You'll soon see.

Still, keep us posted, if you would. Sana makaya ninyong i-sustain ito. Kasi hindi biro yang kinakaharap ninyo.

Lets see what wins ultimately... freedom of expression by bloggers (as supposedly guaranteed under the Constitution) or libel charges by the "poor, aggrieved, and maligned" powers-that-be.

Take care, girl...

To the Pangandamans (and Pangandaman lackeys)...

I know you're reading this. So para sa inyo ito...

You say nasasaktan ang pamilya ninyo sa mga comments dito?

Simple lang po ang solusyon... Kung ayaw mong masaktan, huwag kang manakit. Kung ayaw mong maapi, huwag kang mang-api.

This is true for everyone. Sadly, all arrogants put into public posts by the people have yet to understand this rule.

My gut feel is mapapatahimik na ninyo sina Bambee at pamilya niya through your out-of-court settlement. Good job for you!

But don't rely too much nor believe that this learning experience with the Dela Paz family is always the right method in dealing with bloggers crying out for justice in your future "exploits".

Enjoy!

Bambee, stay the course. Please do not succumb to pressures applied to you and your family. I reckon, threats are already being received by your family. We are in the same position as yours, only difference is, we are up against more powerful people than the Pangandamans, go figure who we are up against eh. We have not succumbed and would never do so.
We are praying for your family's safety and strenght. The Lord would guide you and these "powerful" people should be brought down to the ground and realize that they are not above the law. Geez, they even have the te,erity to say that your family picked the fight! That is a hell of BS! Be safe and stay focused.
Hope your family is not in the process of amicably settling this issue_ read: Areglo, as the news have portrayed.
All the best! Maydangalpa.

I don't think I would trust all of the "witnesses" account. DO NOT believe all the accounts of the witnesses, most of them are probably paid already by the dirty politicians or they are scared to say the truth.

Please set up a fund or bank account where we can support you financially on this plight for justice of your family. We may not be in the Philippines to suffer injustice in the hands of these dirty politicians but still it hurts us to see news like this, even in the smallest way we would like to help in hopefully restoring a sliver of justice for your family.

Do not be put down by these supposedly "balance reporting by the investigative team", these are just mere attempt of the other side to shake down your supporters.

Just like in almost all cases of fighting, there is always two sides of the story. It's just a matter of what you believe and in this case I do believe Bambee over the Pangandamans story. I also believe, that if they (dela paz)ever lose their case it was because of the Pangandamans influential political connections, in other words the truth may not prevail here due to politics. I even read someone blogging that she actually regret posting Bambee's blog on hers after reading the Pangadaman's version. does that mean that she now believe the Pangadaman's. What if a third version start surfacing, will she again believe the third version over the 1st and 2nd? Grow up!

I believe the other versions of the story... the staff and the other members can't stand her dad... ever wonder why the club isn't doing much to protect or support this particular member?

The caddies loathe him, the rest of the club staff can't stand his attitude... they're all laughing now that this happened to him, saying about time karma gave him some righteous payback...

Have you been gone from the Philippines for so long that you have forgotten how vindictive and petty Filipinos can be?

The "Don't you know who I am" syndrome, is alive and well there, as can be seen in this recent case.

Actually it is a good thing that world-wide attention has been brought to it...the world is now seeing exactly what the modern Filipino is like and can make an informed decision on future dealings with the Philippines.

Arrogant and corrupt politicians have destroyed that country, while apathetic and complacent countrymen/sheeple have sulked by in their cowardice.

Filipinos have no one to blame but their selves for the condition of their country...

As a VICTIM of crime and injustice in the Philippines, I have no compassion for people who just sit idly by and let the status quo continue...the Barangay is corrupt, PNP are corrupt, Fiscals are corrupt and the Judiciary is beyond corrupt...and might I add that there is deeply rooted racism amongst Filipinos that only serves them to no good end...whether it be Muslim vs. Christian, Tagalog vs. Bisaya, or at worst Filipino vs. American.

If you give up the fight for justice, then you have just allowed the criminals to continue with what they are doing.

Its so sad that after all these years our country has'nt changed a bit. Politicians/Govt. officials together with their immediate relatives still abuse their power and act like they own the Philippines. They get emboldened by the fact that even the likes of murderer Teehankee Jr gets pardoned by the President. As usual they will use scare tactics against your family and witnesses. Or worse, bribe the witnesses. Stand firm and I hope that the very little justice that goes around in the Philippines get sprinkled your way. I hope they dont get elected or appointed anymore in office. But my hopes arent that high. Voters and appointers alike are often blinded by money and false promises. Pilipinas kong mahal, kailan ka makakabangon sa putikang iyong kinasasadlakan, kung ang mga taong namumuno sayo ang syang yumuyurak sayong dangal?

you're a liar. you and your family. its good that justice has been served. you're the perfect example of using the underdog story as a hook to win public sympathy.

After investigation, the elder Dela Paz was judged to have instigated the fight at the Valley Golf Course, and was expelled from the golf club for disorderly conduct. Meanwhile, Sec. Pangandaman was suspended for two years, and his sons banned for life from ever entering Valley Golf Club.

Amazing how a very emotional posting can sway public opinion... and how important it is to get all the facts first before handing down judgment. Turns out the victim wasn't such a victim after all.

LIAR.

don't be such a pretentious hypocrite you ugly betty, here's the result of the investigation, in which, this delapaz family has been expelled from the club. good riddance for telling a one-sided story:
In the interest of making sure that no facts might be left undisclosed, I will take it upon myself to start from the very beginning. Firstly let us start by saying that on or at about 12:40 p.m., the party of the Pangandaman' s registered at the starter's area.

The Pangandaman' s did not ask permission to drive through because they did not want to disturb the Dela Paz's who were in the middle of the fairway.

The Pangandaman' s claim that the same situation happened in the 5th hole (Par5). Even the caddied confirmed this. At this time, Bambee Dela Paz had called the Marshall to tell him that the flight behind them was complaining about why their pace was slow and that the cause of the delay was the 5-some in front of them. Shortly thereafter, a marshall on his motorcycle appeared and approached the Pangandaman' s and asked if they were playing as a fivesome to which the Mayor said no. "We are 2 foursomes". Nonetheless, the Pangandaman' s had already agreed among themselves that they would rather the Dela Paz's play through.

These two were subdued by security but they were verbally threatening the Pangandaman' s during this time. There was also a reported incident where the driver of the mayor ran out and came back with a suitcase containing a supposed armalite as claimed by valley security. The driver never pulled it out or pointed it at anyone but it was readily accesible

Is that how justice will be served?

The recent decision of the Valley Golf Club is simply unbelievable! For this, I will NEVER play golf at Valley or organize golf tournaments there. In fact, I hope people will stop playing at that golf club.

A 14 year old boy was still being beaten while being treated at their clinic/infirmary! And they believed the caddies of the Pangandaman's instead? Oh, boy!

THIS EVENT SHOULD TEACH EVERYONE A LESSON...

1. Keep your cool on any instant... hubris afflicts everyone.
2. Do not believe everything you read, especially in personal blogs.
3. Do not judge without knowing both sides of the story.
4. The world is indeed fucked up, with people who think they own it.

Trial by publicity

The Pangandamans claimed in their statements that the mayor, although he arrived late, had pre-registered and was simply catching up with the group; that permission had been sought from the marshal and that De la Paz had been informed.

In spite of this, the Pangandamans said the De la Paz flight fired golf balls in their direction on the fairway without shouting “fore,” endangering an 8-year-old child in their group and triggering the brawl on a tee and in the clubhouse.

Other members of the De la Paz family—reportedly the wife armed with a knife and a burly person carrying a baseball bat—attempted to join the fray that also involved armed bodyguards of the Pangandamans.

“If not for the timely intervention of the club’s security personnel and officers and other persons, the situation may have resulted in further violence and injuries,” the board said in its ruling.

Pangandaman Senior said the club ruling was “a vindication.”

“It confirmed what I have been saying from the very beginning,” he said.

He said that Bambee’s e-mail, widely used in newspaper accounts without the Pangandaman comment, had hurt the family.

“We were tried by publicity, but I know the truth will come out,” the agrarian reform secretary said. “It’s been painful for my family.”

He said his sons would pursue the criminal cases in court.

Ted Pastrana, lawyer of the Pangandamans, said he would use the club findings in the criminal case against the De la Paz family.

De la Paz cries foul

De la Paz called the club decision “unfair” and said he was willing to submit to a lie detector test to refute its findings.

“We were the ones who were mauled twice and yet we were the ones expelled,” De la Paz told the Philippine Daily Inquirer (parent company of INQUIRER.net). “What’s happening to our world. The truth doesn’t come out.”

He rued that the findings would ruin the career of his son. “He doesn’t seem to want to play any more.”

(as you can see, this question did not come from Pangandaman.

Let us make this thing simple. You Pangandaman beat a 56 years old man and the worst is the 14 years old kid.

And to think, the Father and Son were the one started the fight. "Common guys, Filipinos are not that stupid as you think". Actually Filipinos are good thinker and analyst.

You know what the Filipinos are thinking now; you Pagandaman are using now a dirty tactics. Money talks right and influence plus goons.

So a call for you valley golf club, including the management. Your place is not safe for member who wishes to play golf. You could not protect your guest from harm, especially what happened. You only protect the people with influence.

And a simple advice for those who wish to play at valley club, go and Play if you have influenced and goons. But if you are a peaceful people with a family kids with you. Don’t go to this golf club. Thanks

alabmw said...

Evangelo,
You are right in saying that the old man de la Paz got his children into harm's way just to prove himself. That is totally unforgivable specially in the light of the findings of the factfinding comittee of the Valley Golf and Country Club. He even instigated them to hit balls at holes no.4 and 5 before the other players are out of the way. Unless you are a golfer you will not appreciate the gravity of this breach of golf rules and etiquette, if not simply endangering the flight ahead of you. This is a mortal sin in golf, and the de la Paz family did just that.

kinsa said...

Evangelo - you have done a good demolition job for the Pangandamans except that it will not hold. Nice try though.

1. "Kilala mo ba ako" is coming from someone who possess power. The mayor wields tremendous power not even counting the bodyguards compared to the unknown old Dela Paz. The mayor with his powerful cabinet secretary dad has the arrogance.

2. Mayor Pangandaman bypassing Dela Paz did not ask permission as he thought not to disturb. His inner thought serves only himself. That is why a permission rule was created to avoid misunderstanding. The mayor by his action instigated misunderstanding.

3. Contradiction is self-evident. "We have no corroborative testimony" and yet followed by "One set of caddies say they were given clearance" to explain why the ball landed near the mayor's child. Why would the mayor bring an 8 yr old in harm's way is another question. Arrogance breeds where he thinks he can do anything.

4. The poor old Dela Paz portrayed as violent as suddenly poked the Mayor without provocation despite the presence of bodyguards. That is against human experience.

5. The account confirmed that the mayor, brother and the bodyguards gang-up and attacked ("attacking")the 56 yr old Dela Paz. The onlooker powerful DAR secretary did not even flinched and stopped his sons and bodyguards.

6. Of course, arrogant DAR secretary told the Dela Paz to leave as if he can tell anybody as he is powerful and should be feared.

Thank you Evangelo for clarifying.

These false statements are hard to stomach. It is just plain common sense. A 56 yr old man protected by a 14 yr old son became the aggressor against a mayor, a brother, a high ranking government official flanked by bodyguards.

It is funny how people can distort facts.

The latest comment(s) are becoming more of justifying what the cause of the beating incident.

Everyone, please remember that the aggressors (the one(s) that threw the first punch) is a government official and the others are related to another government official.

These people should have shown the highest and utmost tolerance and patience as they hold power in seats of the government. Whatever the cause of the incident even if they have been literally slapped in the face by any regular citizen, these powerful people (note this: power vested by the people who elected and endorsed them to office) should be more forgiving and understanding.

Beating up older men and children are in no means justifiable, especially if powerful. The aggressors have the guns and the elder and youngster have none.

This is a matter of accountability.

Accountable to their wrong reaction towards an incident that could have been resolved with dialogue vice violence.

Remember, with great powers lies great responsiblities. And friends, they are directly responsible to whom they almost killed. THEY SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE TO THEIR ACTIONS!

The aggressors' reason as to the cause of the incident is not justified in this matter.

Tanga ako pero hindi mangmang.....

"Last Monday, Bambee’s father Delfin and her brother Bino Lorenzo, 14, filed two counts of slight physical injuries and three counts of child abuse charges against Mayor Pangandaman and his brother Muhammed Hussein before the Antipolo Prosecutor’s Office.

Two hours later, the Pangandaman brothers appeared at the same prosecutor’s office to file physical injuries charges against the De la Pazes.

They also filed grave coercion and light threats charges against Delfin, Bino, Bambee, and Bruce who arrived in the Valley Golf and Country Club in Antipolo armed with a baseball bat and Mrs. Maridel de la Paz who was armed with a bladed weapon.

Fortun deferred Wednesday the filing before the Ombudsman of additional charges against the Pangandamans to pave the way for an out- of-court settlement.

The squabble between the Pangandamans and De la Pazes occurred at the Valley Golf and Country Club in Antipolo last Dec. 26."

The Pangandamans have the guts to file a counter-charge against the Dela-Pazes and the counter-charge is a physical injury charge.

He must have broke his hand hitting the two men so I think it is natural for him, because you know, it isn't his fault the two people he's beating up has such hard bodies (hint of sarcasm people).

Well, good for him. I hope he gets what he deserves for this mess.

3. The mayor and DAR Sec with powerful connections, goons and guns are arrogant. The sons mauled an old man and a kid while the DAR Sec arrogantly told them to leave the place after beaten as if the Pangandamans owned the golf club.

4. The Pangandamans with government power and bodyguards have no respect of golf permission rule, instigated the misunderstanding and imploded into mauling of an old man and a kid.

This is no accident. Anybody who happen to get an ire of a powerful political family while playing golf or any activity in the Philippines can be mauled without justice. The powerful political families in the Philippines like the Pangandamans are calling the shots.

They even dare to silence this blog here by filing a libel case. They can intimidate with guns, goons and power. But they cannot silence the Dela Paz family and the people who truly understand their plight. Because we can see ourselves in Dela Paz. We as ordinary citizen cannot be cowered in fear and silenced by the powerful elite families like Pangandamans.

With all the reports coming, witnesses and other members of the golf club stating a different scenario, I will spread the email with the unsensationalized account of the incident. God forbid that you think I am defending the politicos, but what we are all after is just something fair. I still think the Pangandaman's are wrong. As people in government, they are the enforcers of the law. Provoked or unprovoked, they should not have assaulted your father and your brother. But what is being painted in the media as a wild, power-crazed, david vs goliath type of confrontation is simply not true. I hope you get justice for your brother. But next time, give all the facts. Bambee's account is SELF SERVING as one should expect. She is appealing for sympathy and support. Naturally, because Bambee is doing this, she will not put anything in her account that would go against her intent.

Also, what are you doing pointing out supposed RULES OF EVIDENCE?

You obviously don't know enough about the law to begin talking about the rules of evidence.

Spontaneous accounts or testimony are still examined and tested in court. It is not taken for fact just for the reason that it is SPONTANEOUS OR WAS GIVEN IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE FACT.

In a political world where Paul Farol thrives, an account serves a political purpose just like Paul Farol's opinion.

However, an 18 yr old teen whose 56 yr old father and 14 yr old kid were beaten up by Pangandaman's sons and fully armed bodyguards, lacks the sophistication of a scripted political mind to generate sympathy and support. The true account hanging in life and death as written in spontaniety negate any devious mind that a person like Paul Farol can invent having covered so much Philippine political garbage.

Thanks Paul for your kind of "dishing out brand of injustice on those who screw up". Please check yourself in the mirror while in the senate.

It's not about elitism. It's about, reaping what you sow.

ronald, in your example, napakadaling sabihin para sa akin na "binugbog ako ng pulis" and get some sympathy out of you. But what if the truth was "binugbog ako ng pulis matapos kong tinuhod sya sa tiyan at dinuraaan", would I still get your full sympathy? Mali nga yung pulis, pero mali din naman ako in that example, di ba? so why the one-sided sympathy for the delapaz family? Eh kung ikaw kaya ang tinuhog ko ng payong, at bigla mo akong binugbog dahil dun, ikaw lang ba ang mali?

and kinsa, set your facts straight. Long before John and Paul became apostles, these names were already traditional hebrew names, so don't play the religion card. And if the common man is giving in to mob-mentality instead of actually looking at the whole incident from all angles with little to no bias, then yes I'd rather be elite than be a common man, because that way at least I can say with full confidence that I have my own opinion, my own identity, and uninfluenced ideas. Of course, if being sheep suits you, then by all means.

Let's set this straight everyone. Wala akong kinakampihan. It's all about fairness. It's just unfair for a person to get all this sympathy from everyday joes by creating such a self-serving, biased account of the incident, when the investigation by the country club shows that the delapaz family threw the first proverbial stone.

and futhermore, as Paul has already pointed out so clearly, your beloved Bambee's integrity can be bought. Isa syang bayaran. I don't need a better reason than that to react violently to her plea for pity.

A person whose integrity is compromised has no right to ask for sympathy from other people. In fact, I spit on her face (figuratively, of course). Integrity is what makes us human beings. Without it, a person is no better than an animal!

If she's really calling out for "justice", she wouldn't put a price tag on it.

Monetary settlement is not selling out, it's one way of getting justice. Sa susunod na isipin niyang manggulpi ay iisipin muna niya kung it's worth a couple million bucks, then that's justice for me too. Syempre gusto natin silang makulong pero what's the odds of that, de la Paz should take the money and run. Tutal the world already knows what the DAR Secreatary and his kids are all about.

Doubt the information if you must, but your paltry attempts at slurring me only betray the obvious limitations of your intellect.

You don't know anything about the law, you don't know anything about the negotiations that are going on between the Dela Paz's and the Pangandamans, and you don't know what justice really is.

Have you heard of the phrase, 'Do not ask for justice with blood on your hands?'

Why don't you ask somebody to explain to you what that is. Because this is exactly the phrase that best describes what happened to the Dela Paz's and the Pangandamans.

Delfin really provoked the attack.

Now are we supposed to get on his side just because he got beaten up badly? Do we necessarily become cohorts of the Pangandamans if we point out that Delfin is a maniacal jerk on the golf course?

The answer is no in both instances.

If I were the judge hearing this case, I would punish both parties.

The higher purpose of the law and the courts in this instance is to maintain peace. Both parties disturbed the peace and both parties should be punished.

A 56 yr old man facing the mayor, his brother and 5 fully armed bodyguards, provoked the attack? A helluva PR job to cover that the mayor instigated the mauling by ignoring the permission rule as if the family owned the golf course (in fact, DAR sec told the Dela Paz to leave).

Some conributors who are on the side of the Pangandamans based their conclusions on the premise that both parties came into the situation as equals. They are not equals. The Pangandamans are public servants and the dela Paz' were the public. Public servants are held to a higher standard than the rest of us. They are expected to abide & uphold the law equally. Provide an honest days work & address any problem brought forward by the public. In Mr. dela Paz' mind he had a legitimate complaint. Let's say Mr. dela Paz was arrogant, the Mayor could have diffused the situation first. When tensions subsided the Mayor could have sorted things out with the citizen. The Mayors pride and ego got hurt so bad he beat the elder dela Paz and the 14 yr old boy. Twice!! Very baaaaad attitude. If the mayor handled it like a true public servant, I am sure everyone went away without any hard feelings. None of this would have happened. The DAR Sec is not off the hook either. His instigations and later inaction is just as bad.

To be exact, Integrity is not moral character. It's moral soundness and consistency. As in asking for justice and NOT putting a price on it. As in presenting all sides of the story instead of a biased self-serving statement with the intention of playing gullible people like you like a fiddle. As in resorting to morally sound means in the search of justice, instead of the libelous statements made by this blogger. What Bambee has done, instead, was pass off condescending self-righteousness for integrity. And for that, she deserves to be spat on.

And further more, her being female has nothing to do with it. I'm willing to bet that if she wasn't a decent-looking girl (a 5 or 6 out of 10 on the hotness factor, AT BEST), you wouldn't even be on her side. You wouldn't come riding in on your "noble steed" and become her "prince charming." News flash - you're not getting into her panties that way, Mr. Wussy Boy.

"Let's set this straight everyone. Wala akong kinakampihan. It's all about fairness."

"And while I do believe that the pangandamans deserve punishment from the justice system, I also believe that the dela paz family had it coming."

"Both sides are just plain idiots for letting bravado and short tempers get the best of them."

"I'm not saying that the pangandamans don't deserve to go to jail. My point was all this praise, all the kind words and all the sympathy people are giving the dela paz family are totally undeserved on their part."

"Basta ang akin lang naman, kung me kelangan malagot, dapat pareho malagot dahil pareho nadala ng init ng ulo at gumawa ng kalokohan."[/i]

As seen above, I've said that BOTH parties should be held liable for the incident. Or were you too busy trying to suck up to Bambee in the hopes that you'd get to do dirty little things to her?

"re: "and yet again, you seem to conveniently ignore the main points of my post" - John"

where's the rest of it? which just proved you ignored it...

"Which you repeat like a broken record - okay to maul an old man and a kid, plus punish them."

Please do tell where I specifically stated that it's ok to maul and old man and a kid. My exact statement was that both parties are liable for the incident because they let bravado and tempers get the best of them.

"How dense can you be that decent people cannot agree with your violent tendencies. Wake up!"

It's you who should wake up. You've been played like a bongo. Both of them should pay the consequences for this incident. The one who started it got beat up, but that's hardly punishment for trying to act big and treating other golfers in that country club like shit, is it?

Unknown said...

For the benefit of the people who can't seem to believe that they've been played as fools, Let me tell you an old fable:

Once upon a time there was a little boy who loved picking fights in school because he believed he was superior to all other little children. One day, he picked a fight with another little boy. The second little boy fought back and beat the crap out of the first little boy, but used excessive violence in doing so. The first little boy then went crying to his homeroom teacher telling her that he got beat up by the second little boy, all the while not mentioning the fact that he started the fight. He drew sympathy from that teacher and the teacher was about to punish the second little boy when the Principal walked in and asked what had happened. Both sides told their story, and upon further investigation by the principal he found out the whole truth. He then punished both little boys for fighting in school.

For anyone who was too dense to understand the fable, little boy A is the Dela Paz family. Little boy B is the Pangandaman family. The Teacher is someone gullible enough to believe little boy A (i.e. kinsa and the like), and the Principal is the country club board.

Now, I ask you, was the principal at fault for punishing both little boys?

kinsa said...

re: "Both of them should pay the consequences for this incident. The one who started it got beat up, but that's hardly punishment for trying to act big and treating other golfers in that country club like shit" - John

You readily accept the mayor's account who ignored the permission rule. The permission rule is created for good reason to avoid conflict. Hence, the mayor instigated the mauling.

Unknown said...

@kinsa

so sinasabi mo mas marunong ka pa sa country club board, who conducted a full investigation based on eyewitness testimony from both those who were involved and those who weren't involved in the incident, and found that the delapaz patriarch instigated the first violent action against the Pangandamans?

Hindi DOJ nagsabi nyan. Yung Country Club nagsabi nyan. Now, I ask again, why in hell don't the delapaz's deserve punishment as the Pangandamans do? Di ba pag ang dalawang tao nagsuntukan sa bar pareho cla kinakaladkad ng bouncer palabas? What makes this any different? Just because their social statuses are different?

Social status is irrelevant. If you did something wrong, you pay for it, even if you're already battered and bruised before you're made to pay.

kinsa said...

re: "Once upon a time there was a little boy who loved picking fights in school because he believed he was superior to all other little children." - John

John, your fable is riddled with lies because of wrong assumption. There is no account that the old man loved picking fights nor was there any prior incidents to that effect regarding the elder Dela Paz.

Your conclusion is skewed because of distorted premise.

Unknown said...

@kinsa

well duh! kaya nga sya "fable" di ba?

It's there to drive a point. The point was you are as gullible as that teacher who only heard one side of the story. And when the whole story FROM THE COUNTRY CLUB was posted, you choose to conveniently ignore the whole truth and keep insisting that ONLY the Pangandamans deserve punishment, when the umbrella in question that started the whole brawl was in the hands of the Dela Paz patriarch.

Unknown said...

the problem with people like kinsa is that their own biases blind them from other facts in the case.

It's tempting I know to keep believing that our government is evil and that people in it abuse their power. But is it really farfetched to say that regular people like the dela paz family are not capable of such "evil" tendencies as well?

Based on the account released by the country club, the umbrella poking started the brawl. There would be no brawl without that singular cause. And as their account clearly states, the umbrella was in the hands of the dela paz patriarch - the beaten-up old man who was trying to win the people's sympathy.

Now, is it fair that the side who left relatively unscathed be the only ones liable for this brawl, knowing full well that the beaten-up side began physical hostilities?

Now why in hell, again, do these violent, umbrella-wielding, ego-tripping assholes deserve any of our sympathy?

kinsa said...

re: "Now, I ask again, why in hell don't the delapaz's deserve punishment as the Pangandamans do?"

In simple language, the Mayor, his brother and 5 fully armed bodyguards inflicted harm on the old man and his kid and could have possibly killed them if not for the presence of witnesses, kaya pinaalis na lang ni cabinet sekretary.

re: "Di ba pag ang dalawang tao nagsuntukan sa bar pareho cla kinakaladkad ng bouncer palabas?" -John.

The Golf security personnel were inherently afraid of the 5 fully armed bodyguards. In fact, they can only stopped for their safety the wife and the other son coming to aid, but not the mauling.

Unknown said...

@kinsa

coulda, woulda, shoulda. Fact is, excessive force as it may, they did not start physical hostilities. The ones that did are as guilty as the Pangandamans.

Your logic is like this: A person punches you in the face, pokes you with an umbrella in the gut, or whatever, and you almost killed him in retaliation. You're basically saying that you're the only one who deserves to be punished, when in fact both of you deserve punishment.

kinsa said...

re: "The point was you are as gullible as that teacher who only heard one side of the story."- John

The fact remains that you invent a story that elder Dela Paz "loved picking fights".

kinsa said...

re: "A person punches you in the face, pokes you with an umbrella in the gut" - John.

That account is highly questionable especially coming from the Pangandaman. An old man daring a mayor, his brother and 5 fully armed bodyguards.

Unknown said...

@kinsa

you keep insisting that it came from the Pangandamans, when that account came from the Country Club. How many times do you need to hear it?

Sa tingin mo ba ang kuniha lang na panig ng Country Club eh yung sa mga Pangandaman? They used eyewitness testimony from both sides of the brawl, including eyewitnesses who weren't involved in the brawl.

You keep insisting that that account came from the government. You are so blinded by your prejudice that you choose to ignore unbiased accounts and shrugging it off as being a work of spin doctors when all that needs to happen is for you to wake up from your delusion that the Filipino commoner is infallible.

Unknown said...

Here is an exerpt from the statement released by the Country Club

"...Delapaz closed his umbrella and then poked the mayor on his stomach using the pointed end ( some caddies say Dela Paz swung the umbrella and some say that he poked the Mayor) The investigative board asked Dela Paz what he did, he said that he poked the Mayor in self defense. When asked who was attacking him, Dela Paz said that he was being surrounded by 4 men. The caddies and other witnesses on hand said that when the umbrella incident happened, it was only Dela Paz and the mayor that were talking."

I quoted this here to show that the investigative board asked ALL parties what had happened, which should put to rest the claim that the account was purely the work of spin doctors. To read the whole statement, look at Menyak's post. Be prepared for a long read though.

kinsa said...

re: "But is it really farfetched to say that regular people like the dela paz family are not capable of such "evil" tendencies as well?"- John

The board is not an expert witness. Its statement is just another hearsay evidence in court.

why is it that, in the face of unbiased, overwhelming facts, you cling to your delusions that the dela paz family are victims?

You keep insisting that the whole umbrella poking thing came from the mouth of the Pangandaman, when in fact many eyewitnesses confirmed it - caddies who have no affiliation with any group. So are you saying that what they saw was an illusion?

You keep insisting that the Country Club's account is just hearsay, but eyewitness testimony is NOT hearsay. Kaya nga sya EYEwitness. Ibig sabihin NAKITA. Duh! So what makes their statement any less valid than Bambee's, whose account is self-serving?

And why is it that you assume that the country club is easily swayed only by those against the Dela Paz's? Bakit, sa tingin mo ba hindi din kaya ng Dela Paz na igoyo yung board na kumampi sa kanila? Do you even have proof, or are you still clinging to your fairy tale?

Why don't you just admit you've been fooled by the harlot we know as Bambee Dela Paz?

@ Evangelo and John:

EVEN if Mr Dela Paz is arrogant, and EVEN if the 14 year old kid did indeed take a swing at the Mayor with his golf club, THAT STILL DOES NOT make the Pangandaman's use of excessive force excusable. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES does it become excusable for armed and trained bodyguards to beat up a 14 year old kid. Everyone knows that money talks and bullshit walks.

REGARDLESS of who started it all, it still does not excuse the Pangangdaman's use of force, their bodyguards bringing firearms into a place where firearms were restricted.

In any situation, 5-6 people against 2 is far from fair, ESPECIALLY when one of the is a kid.

You're missing the point you retards! Evangelo, John, you both sound like spin doctors. How much did they pay you to try and vilify the Dela Paz' family? A fancy car? A house and lot? Or are you just plain lapdogs following the pigs around blindly hoping for scraps from their table of sh*t?

As posted by "John":

"Sisiga-siga yung pamilya nya sa ibang tao sa country club, pero pag naharap sila sa palaban, sila pa ngayon ang "kawawa"?"

If that is true, why haven't the other Valley Golf members who've been treated poorly by the Dela Paz family come forward and spoken up?

If such is the case, why would Valley Golf Board members have waited years for something like that to get out of hand?

In any event, like what so many other people have been saying...

The fact that the DAR secretary and the Mayor are Civil Servants (The job title alone says enough) Their job is to serve the public, set good moral examples and so on.

IN addition to that, their bodyguards ARE NOT supposed to go on the offensive. Their job is to protect whoever hired them, correct? That would mean that, if they are such upstanding and decent people, what they SHOULD have done is to simply keep the Mayor and Secretary safe, by keeping Mr. Dela Paz and his 14 year old son away from the Sec and Mayor. AT MOST, disarm and subdue them, while the Mayor and Secretary could distance themselves from the aggressors.

If what John is saying is true and that the 14 year old actually attacked the Mayor with a golf club, despite the presence of armed bodyguards, I say "that kid's got balls!"

As for the full grown man who needs bodyguards to fend off a kid that age, frankly, THAT IS JUST PATHETIC. If I got beat up by a 14 year old kid, I'd be quite embarrassed. Golf club or not.

~~~~
The fact that the Pangandamans are government officials changes things, see, as such, they are supposed to use restraint in such situations as this Vally Golf fiasco.
Where was the so called restraint in this instance? *cough* I rest my case.
@Dave
I know it's not excusable. Kaya nga paulit-ulit ko pa sinabi na pareho silang dapat malagot. If you did read my posts, you would see that statement made many, many times. Ano yan, selective blindness, or naghahanap ka lang ng mapipintas?
And on the subject of pintas:
"If that is true, why haven't the other Valley Golf members who've been treated poorly by the Dela Paz family come forward and spoken up?"
Kung may kilala ka bang kupal (to quote the vernacular), papatol ka ba in front of your respected colleagues? Binaba mo lang sarili mo kung ganon. And there is no law that prohibits a man from being an ass to your fellow man, so no way they can go to the board.
Besides, you know how the upper class are. They're ones to turn the other cheek, and become the better man. Apparently, that wasn't the case for the Dela Paz patriarch, who instigated another brawl in the clubhouse after the incident in the golf course.
"If such is the case, why would Valley Golf Board members have waited years for something like that to get out of hand?"
Because, unfortunately, no court of law, no club charter has any provisions on punishing someone for being an asshole. They have to do something which is actually against the rules, i.e. the melee.
Ika nga nila, hindsight is 20/20. Madali sabihin na it could have been prevented, but no one expected it to happen
Cadies accounts were made several days after the mauling and can change for personal reasons. The 18 yr old account was made spontaneously, huge difference.
Unknown said...
@kinsa
yeah huge difference. You fail to mention, though, that the biggest difference of all is that Bambee's account has a much more probable and realistic motive to contain so much distorted truths and half-lies.
Motive lang ang usapan. Medyo suntok sa buwan mga motives na pinaparating mo. Motives ni Bambee para magsinungaling? I can name a few:
1. Money (for "reparations" kuno)
2. Saving face (ayaw nyang magmukhang wimp tatay nya)
3. Making a media circus out of an issue that she knows she can't have a favorable verdict in court (and when I say favorable, yung hindi din paparusahan yung tatay nyang basagulero)
I'm speculating here, I know, but these make a lot more sense than the things you pulled out your ass.
