The GMA link has been removed. It was replaced by this: http://www.gmanews.tv/story/141418/DAR-chiefs-son-5-bodyguards-face-charges-for-alleged-mauling-of-2-golfers
Be safe.
Kasama pala sa government's peace panel with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front 'yung matandang Pangandaman... paano kaya niya maaareglo ang gulo ng pamahalaan at ng MILF, eh, 'yung panggugulpi ng anak niyang tarantado at mga bodyguards hindi niya naayos?
A Plurk-friend of mine posted the link of your blog in his time line and I went to check it out. Lo and behold, the story about the politician beating up your dad and brother came about.
I pray that justice will be served.
I pray that your family will be safe always.
I pray that the politician musters enough courage (and conscience) to owe up to his actions.
God Bless you always :)
P.S: I re-posted your blog's link na rin.
You're such a strong lady... keep up the fight and hold on to God.
Hi. Here's the new link to the GMA news article.
I hope your father and your brother are okay now... Mga moguls po kasi yung nakaharap nyo... They're "gods" here sa Mindanao... Sa traffic and anywhere else, they're used to having their way... and people are scared of them... They even have ambulance sirens so lagi sila nauuna even if there's no emergency...
Yes, there is hope.
There are still Juan's like you.
Take care.
my prayers for justice for your family. thank you for sharing and taking up courage to use the internet to humiliate these people.
May justice be served to you and your family. You will be in my prayers.
May your family have justice. This event truly is unacceptable! Those assholes don't deserve to be alive and further more, be in position. Grabe talaga, they should be serving the people... not beating them senselessly. Sorry for the term pero mga putangina talaga sila! >:|
Good luck and God bless in your fight... we're all praying for you!
They must face the music for what they have done. It's appalling that they would just think they can get away with something like this.
More links here :)
Steph and Vince were so shocked to hear the news, anyway, lots of bloggers have written about this, you can look at the links in my blog:

God bless you and your family.
Stay strong.
Guys, just a heads up... somebody submitted the story to DIGG...
You can digg Digg this story here!
If it gets enough diggs in the right span of time and makes it to the front page, the whole world will know of this unbelievable case of douchebaggery.
Digg it, and pass it on.
I am a real Muslim (a faithful one, praying five times a day) and I am appalled by the arrogance of the Secretary and the Mayor. The Secretary was a party-by-ommission (or tolerance?). He did not do anything to stop his son or help pacify people in that situation. He does not deserve a sit in the government's peace panel.
Continue your fight for justice courageous young lady. There are many well-meaning and civilized citizens of this country who are ready to help you. I am already one of them.
I hope you guys get over this ordeal. not all politicians are like that. I just hope justice would be served nobody has the right to hurt someone.

Read about this when a blogger friend of mine, Blogie Robillo, posted it on Plurk: http://www.plurk.com/p/bjxk1

Be safe.

my prayers are with you and your family...

Reposted on my blog. I also included my own thoughts.
Just do read my blog ayt? Ill help in spreading ur story through massive propaganda via the internet.

Hi,
I had just read your post a few minutes ago, and was immediately outraged by the whole thing.
I live in Canada now, but still have friends and family there. Was there anything at all we can do to help your family out, from far away? Also, I have friends who work at major newspapers there, so perhaps we can have some article published.

Take care, I'll spread the word, and my friends and family will pray for yours.

Bambee, do not despair. Darating din ang araw ng mga hayop na ito. These cowards need to bully others every so often to feed their insecurities. Nasser and his ilk represent everything that is shameful and reprehensible in this corrupt political system of ours. Do not worry, there will be a day of reckoning.
Hi Bambee,
We are all hoping that justice will be served here, para matigil na ang lahat ng mga abusadong opisyales na yan
Hey. I hope your family's alright. Those f*ckin' politicians are so damn arrogant and they will get just what they sowed. Take care!

God bless to your family and we are all here to pray and support!! Good luck and lets hope for a positive result=)
It was good that you blogged about it. It might have gone down the drain or might have filed it in court but you'll never get the attention to this case, which is badly needed.
God bless in your pursuit for justice.
I am working to spread your story through various social sites in the net. Please be strong and always be safe. ^_^
I've read your 2 latest blogs..
and also cycled through some news articles on the net about what happened.. just saw your blog from my friend..
well, we'll surely pray for you and for your family..
those f*ckin' officials never change.. from the highest official here on our country down to the poser officials who act as if they have all the power..
may Justice prevails..
i'll pray for your family, for our country, for the others as well that these evil officials wont do that again...
Hope your family is now ok..
Be safe and God speed..
you're such a brave girl.. :)

saw this in my friend's profile and had no choice but to share it on my own. hope your dad and brother are okay.
mmm can you email me privately? les888@gmail.com and pls dont post this comment just wanna share some things with you with regards to politicians thanks!
I dare sec. puno to investigate ur mayor of lanao, mayor pangandaman jr. he's so mayabang, sana magkasakit cya ng ketong sa kayabangan nya. pweh!!!!!!!
I am praying that you and your family get justice on this incident..i am shocked and again I'm full of disgust to our crap politicians...
I just posted the Inquirer editorial and linked this blog to a pinoy forum here in Australia.
TC,
Nas
dear bambi and family,
i admire the courage you and your family took in going against these thugs who beat up your poor defenseless father and brother.
being powerful politicians do not make the Pangandamans' special beings worthy of any special treatment and attention.
i am praying for your family's recovery, both physical and emotional and no less than your relentless pursuit of justice against these subhuman species who perpetrated this senseless violence against your family. The Pangandaman's have no place in this society.
Praying and hoping for justice is one thing... TAKING ACTION FOR IT is another.
This is clearly an assault and battery criminal acts which is punishable by law and so therefore you must take a stand and fight these people who think they are above the law! This kind of thing doesn't go unnoticed here in the US esp if it involves gov't officials.
Of course there are repercussions and you just might open pandora's box and be in a bigger mess than already is. BUT something must be done so justice will really be served.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Will pray for you and for your family's safety. I don't blog but have emailed the links to the many egroups I belong to to help spread the word. Has anyone started an official campaign asking these politicaians to resign and/or have the president fire the secretary from his post? Have you filed a court case yet? Keep strong and have faith in the power of prayer and people.
Hi Bambee. You and your family are in my prayers...
A professor of mine was asked "when will conflicts end?" His answer was: "it will end when the other party learns to weep for the other one..." May this be a life-changing event for these politicians - for the better...
I am well behind you in this time of need. But i just hope that your view towards Muslims would not turn to negative since I have Muslim friends and not all of them are as bad as you think.
This is a classic display of politicians using their power to get away with whatever they want. I just hope those that did horrible things to your families will not be spared from justice's eyes.
=( they took out the GMA article already... can be found in search engine cached results nalang.
God Bless you and your family.
With the way our justice system works... good luck! Hopefully online presence will not let them get away with this.
I posted your blog entry as a note on my Facebook page hoping to catch the eye of whoever reads it.
My prayers to your father and brother that they get well soon. My prayers also that for once, we all have reason to believe that justice will prevail over people who abuse their powers in society. A lot of us are behind you and your family.
Be strong and keep safe. =)

I hope you and your family are okay. My prayers for all of you!
Hi,just read an article from the Inquirer online about your dad and brother.
My prayer goes to you and your family,a tragedy like this can last for a lifetime.May their souls burn and rot in hell.I also hope that these people from the golf club open their eyes and stand up for justice.
I'm telling you right now,these people are capable of these madness.My brother's best friend's cousin got shot and died due to a simple altercation in a bar by a Mayor son from Muslim Mindanao.To this day they are still awaiting justice.These people are psychos and are incapable of love.
I used to work for a radio station as a Deejay Davao City,I'll ring some of my friends and ask them to make a noise about this one and call out for justice.I'll spread the word here as well,I'm in Japan right now working as an English Teacher.
Godspeed and hope to chat with you sometime and good luck with your golf games in Ohio!
A similar incident, however less violent, happened to a friend of mine at a tennis club in Cebu City. While my friend was playing tennis, his wife and little daughter were at the pool site. A boy was continuously hitting a coca-cola bottle on the floor and my friend's wife as him" "Stop it", since she was worried that the bottle may brake and the glass hurt the boy and her daughter.
Then suddenly a furious lady approached my friend's wife why she had called her son "stupid", obviously misunderstanding the words "stop it". The lady got so angry and mentioned: "Don't you know me? I am the daughter of .." then the name of a prominent Cebu family felt.
My friend rushed to the scene and tried to calm everybody down, but to no avail. They then packed their things and went home. Later they were informed by the club owner that the lady tried to trace their names and residence, but he couldn't tell (both are foreigners).
I know that many similar stories of power abuse are happening. I hope all will come out with their stories.
The only thing these thugs are worried about is transparancy. They fear it like vampires are fearing sunlight.
The overwhelming response to this incident shows that there is hope left for this countr
this just shows how our president do a background check before appointing someone for a government position.
As far as i know to be a department of Agriculture sec.(or simply say a PUBLIC OFFICIAL) one must not just have the knowledge of the job or the the experience but the compassion and heart for other people...
if this PERSON doesn't know compassion and wisdom and a GOOD HEART to teach to his own family HOW can we expect him to do his job and ensure the welfare of our FAMILY...
-people like this will surely rot to hell
-my prayers 4 u and ur family
"SANA MAGKA PRAYER RALLY"pra mpakita nmn suporta sau... take care
I read your post a few days ago, and I've passed it on to people I know. Then I was browsing through the website of Inquirer, and I saw this:

I just had to go back to your site and post it:)
Your family deserves justice.
just read your story. i got your link from one of the member of "ehemplo" (ehemplo@yahoogroups.com).
i will repost this to NORANIANS esp. ICON - Internatinal Circle Online Noranians (NoraAunor@yahoogroups.com)
According to this Inquirer report, the police are frustrated over Valley Golf's refusal to cooperate. Perhaps public pressure should now bear upon Valley Golf to, so to speak, tell the truth. It may help if such pressure is exerted not only on the club's management, but also to its famous and influential members. It would be unbecoming for any decent person to remain a member of such a club that would sanction that sort of behavior.
The names of the members of the Board of Directors of Valley Golf are on the club's website.
Let’s email to the board of the Valley Golf and Country Club to cooperate with the police (see. http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/breakingnews/metro/view/20081229-180482/Cops-frustrated-over-golf-clubs-silence) and shed light on the issue (and asked them why the didn’t help the Dela Pazes).
Their website: http://www.valleygolf.com.ph/
Their email: info@valleygolf.com.ph
The distinguished board members: http://www.valleygolf.com.ph/temp/board.asp
We should also ask them why they choose to keep silent. Isn't this obstruction of justice?

I was enraged reading the article. It's about time they make these politicians realize that they work for us and not for themselves. I hope your dad and brother get well. Please don't back down. I have heard of many settlements and this just makes these a$$h0le$ emboldened to repeat their dastardly ways.
Valley Golf should also be held accountable for not protecting its members and guests. I would sue their pants off for having let your dad and brother go through this ordeal.
On the bright side, there is still chivalry in this country as the bad guys didn't even touch you.
Good luck and keep the faith. These bastards shouldn't get to see the light of day. Makakarma din yung mga PI na iyun!
hi, we carried your story in our blog at donavictorina.blogspot.com, that is the least we can do...
oh my God. I am so sad that this had to happen to your family. I pray for their speedy recovery. Glad too that Inquirer finally picked up on the story. Just heard about the story a few minutes ago too.

hey i feel really sad this happened to your family. these politicians are really arrogant. good you are are courageous and strong to have shared this and spoke your mind. all the best to you and your family.
hmmm, methinks GMA News is afraid of the DAR chief & his son... the news link shows that the page cannot be found and a search in their archives does not come up with any article about your dad's unfortunate incident. buti pa ang Abante tonite, the article is still there.
hi, i just want to let you know that my family will be praying for yours. keep strong. you have the support of a lot of people behind you.
there was an article in The Star today with the DAR chief denying the whole thing! the nerve of such people!

Hi there, I've read about what happened to you and your folks, and I've also read about the bastard's next course of action.
I've been spreading the word on my blog, etc. It's the least I can do, but I certainly wish I could do so much more. Like personally bash their ugly faces in.
Be strong, and I pray that they don't get away with this!

What you did was courageous, and none of us have had to experience your fear. I hope your dad and brother come out OK.
Hi there! I just read about what happened from my friend's blog at Multiply and he referred me to this link. I would like to extend my assistance. I am a lawyer and professor at University of Makati. You can PM me through my Multiply site: http://teng1981.multiply.com Godbless!

i came across your blog from a friend's multiply. i even saw it sa news. i'll continue to pray for your family. i pray that justice will be served.
If there could be one thing to lean from this and to prevent that from happening, maybe this one lesson will help: to learn to be more DISCRIMINATING of the places you go to.
And yes going to one place is one thing, being a member is an altogether more serious matter. Before having a membership to ANYthing, you must take note of the people who will surround you and what kind of place it is. You're comitting yourself to go there plenty times because you will be a member right?
I cannot help thinking this will not happen in Sta. Elena Golf, for example, because #1, firearms aren't allowed inside the country club (that's already a major thing, you will find that many men have as much braincells and courage as the number of bullets they have ready at-hand), #2 bodyguards must wait outside for they have no business being in there (another important thing, one egocentric man without his bodyguards would think twice before beating up some stranger)and #3, members are expected to be proper and civil at all times (considering the rigorous requirement/qualifications to be met before being considered for membership there).
You could have had more security at a better facility than this never-heard 'golf club.' Their staff's actions as you described it is enough evidence. They were like unplugged robots not knowing what to do during the situation when they were supposed to handle it PROPERLY.
No one deserves to be treated like that. But remember, it's true you get what you pay for. Cheap facility, cheap service and treatment.
Let me just say I'm not blaming anyone, before someone brings that up. I'm just thinking of something that could be done to prevent this from happening again. One step is to begin protecting yourselves by being more discriminating of your chosen company and surroundings.
Issey, excuse me?!
This is neither the time nor place for shameless advertisements. If you weren't advertising, then you're bringing up an unnecessary and fruitless point.
The world needs less people who "create" different opinions just for the sake of having a different opinion.
Issey, let me tell you one thing -- that post did not make you sound smart at all. So go back to your debater forums or your high-class golf clubs and pull out that dildo that's dangling from your arse.
Moron.
dear mdnovel,
If advising someone how to protect theirself is fruitless and needless, what do you stand for? I bet you're one of those people who would read about a story like Bambee's and get all "shocked and OMGed" and stuff and stop there. Here I am sharing advise as I see it, as neutrally as I can, coming from a good place and there you are being all malicious.
I never claimed I was smart. I am not advertising and I don't know about 'creating opinions' because from where I come from, people JUST have opinions.. we don't even think about it. You don't know where I come either, and 'debater forums' or whatever it is you're talking about is something new to me.
So, if there's a little bit of civil, humane fiber in you, I hope I'm the last STRANGER you will call a moron ans speak of arses to on the internet.
KTHXBAI.
"because from where I come from, people JUST have opinions.. we don't even think about it."
And there we go. Issey admits to not thinking about his opinion.
The thing is, Issey, that despite peoples' abilities and rights to declare their opinions on the web, there are still valid ones and stupid ones. Yours was stupid and haphazardly insensitive beyond measure.
"You could've protected yourself better by going to a better golf club" -- is garbage and can only be seen as some retard trying to be different from everyone else.
~~~
With regard to the recent apology, I hope that it was said with the utmost sincerity. Although this: "Pangandaman said that his "New Year's wish" was to see the case immediately resolved" is a bit discouraging. It has off-court settlement offer written all over it. I sincerely hope the bastard spends time in prison.
ooof, that's an out of place opinion in such a time and situation.
If then we would all adopt that line of thinking as specified by a previous comment, then what would be the sense of laws and the whole law enforcement system? They will pay for what they have done and no amount of rationalization will change that.
I was talking about not needing to think of how to 'create opinions' because I just have one: my own. The very definition of an opinion, since you so insist on talking about it, is that it requires some thought to form one.
And I don't know why but all your talk of arses, morons, retards, garbage, stupidity: what are you? And honestly, for you to talk about insensitivity.. Hah. Stick to one side my friend, you cant call somene a retard and moron without provocation and then speak about insensitivity the next. That's just really.. odd.
And the thing is, mdnovel, you can't judge me based on your own rather questionable 'measure.' I offered advice, whether taken or not is up to whom it may concern and that's all it really was. You chose to interpret it as something out of this world, shooting insults every which way, when the bottomline is, you don't seem to have any constructive agenda.
So I advise you, and again this is only an advise, to leave other people be when you can't comprehend the meat of what they are saying and to seek peace and not provoke total strangers.
And to spell it out: What I said doesn't mean the troublemakers shouldn't have to pay. Of course justice should be served. Of course. What they did is terrible. But we're all done saying that. People have said that a thousand times. For me to say that won't help one bit. What I'm talking about is what can be done so you don't even have to deal with people like that anymore: Protect yourself. Simple.
And to spell it out: What I said doesn't mean the troublemakers shouldn't have to pay. Of course justice should be served. Of course. What they did is terrible. But we're all done saying that. People have said that a thousand times. For me to say that won't help one bit. What I'm talking about is what can be done so you don't even have to deal with people like that anymore: Protect yourself. Simple.
Indeed, Issey, indeed!
So you do agree that you just wanted to be different from everybody else. :)
So, regarding your opinion:
If there could be one thing to lean from this and to prevent that from happening, maybe this one lesson will help: to learn to be more DISCRIMINATING of the places you go to.
You could have had more security at a better facility than this never-heard 'golf club.' Their staff's actions as you described it is enough evidence. They were like unplugged robots not knowing what to do during the situation when they were supposed to handle it PROPERLY.
Because it's so easy to tell what the staff will do in the face of an abusive politician and bodyguards with guns.
Let me just say I'm not blaming anyone, before someone brings that up. I'm just thinking of something that could be done to prevent this from happening again. One step is to begin protecting yourselves by being more discriminating of your chosen company and surroundings.
Because being in the company of successful politicians in a golf course that has hosted the Philippine Open thrice is DANGEROUS isn't it?
~~~
Besides, I'm sure if you raided the Sta. Elena golf course with armed bodyguards, the staff would confiscate their guns because dangerous weapons aren't allowed inside, neh?
Try again Issey mate.
We believe your truth more than their lies.
i've read your post in another site and i really can't believe there are people who would do such cruel acts. what they did was simply inhuman.
i pray that your father and your brother would get well soon. i also pray that your family would be safe always at na sana ay di kayo balikan ng politikong nakabangga niyo. and lastly, i pray for your strength. sana ay huwag kayong huminto sa paglaban sa kanila at sana ay di kayo matakot na ipaglaban ang karapatan niyo na ingrabyado nila.. :)
Huh? Why would you raid a golf course with armed bodyguards.. what? Haha.. Armed bodyguards?? Raid a golf course?? Hello, just bring soldiers if you like, if you seriously want to raid it. While you're at it, why not try the corner pirated DVD sellers because it's illegal, not a golf course where they're NOT doing something illegal that you should raid it? And yes, yknow what. They will confiscate the guns. And yes, for the reason that it's not allowed to bring firearms inside. Yes, you got that right. I'm really proud of you.
You're such a classic. First you talk trash, saying all those uncalled-for bad words, dodging the topic, and when you can't keep doing it, you switch gears and do the next best thing you can think of: talk about everything BUT what really matters.
You're just nitpicking at the little unimportant details like who's got the same opinion and who has a different opinion. Imagine, to devote an entire post about why 'this particular sentence makes this person different! Omg, he's different, she's different!'
Because it's so easy to tell what the staff will do in the face of an abusive politician and bodyguards with guns.
Wow. Do you even know where you are? I'll quote Bambee for you:
The people at Valley Golf did not seem to want to help us. None of the security guards even tried to stop the fight. Right in the clubhouse. I came back after the fight was over and talked to the receptionists. They say they did not see anything. The general manager of Valley Golf would not give us the names of the men who made my brother's ear bleed. It took him an hour. Maybe even more than that. He seemed to not want to help us.
Hence, they did not handle it properly.
Because being in the company of successful politicians in a golf course that has hosted the Philippine Open thrice is DANGEROUS isn't it?
YES, hello, yes it's dangerous! This is the entire reason why you're even writing here! A 'successful' politician BEAT UP a 56 year old man and a 14 year old boy in a golfcourse that 'hosted the philippine open thrice' according to you.
So again, I maintain my original point, my advise to protect yourself, seek better company. And to maybe get some sleep because you can think better, produce less trashy words when you are refreshed.
they're abusing the authority given to them. i really hate those people! argh. naturingang lider ng bansa tapos ganyan.
i'll pray for your family. be strong. :)
Once again sarcasm skips over the heads of the dumb. :D
Just one highlight though
YES, hello, yes it's dangerous! This is the entire reason why you're even writing here! A 'successful' politician BEAT UP a 56 year old man and a 14 year old boy in a golfcourse that 'hosted the philippine open thrice' according to you.
Uhuh. If you weren't from the future, how the FUCK would you have expected that?
~~~
And since you were too stupid to understand sarcasm, it's not even worth the effort to point out everything that's wrong with your post anymore.
One thing I'll say is that with your last post, you've driven yourself into the ravaged anus of stupidity.
Gee, you must be so proud of yourself, you said the F word! To a total stranger, no less! First learn to not inject your writing with so much emotion which doesn't help with this kind of thing, look up 'objective, constructive suggestions' in the dictionary and then sleep, then maybe you can start reasoning properly.
And with all your talk of anuses and arses.. you have some kind of fetish or something?
reblogged it here and here. Be STRONG and COURAGEOUS - Keep on BLOGGING!
The Management of Valley Golf should also be held accountable. The incident happened inside their property. Shame on them for not protecting their members. Shame on them for not helping you and your family.
Exactly.
Well I'm not surprised you're as detached to social vernacular as you are to your messy ideals.
Okay, let's put it this way so you can understand:
- Beating someone up is against the law -- the rules that maintain social order
- You acknowledge that the event happened. Someone broke the rules.
- You advise that next time, one should go to a place where there are rules against violent conduct and armed interference.
~~~
Okay, so from what I gather:
You believe that Sta. Elena Golf's club rules will somehow prevent violence and abuse.
"They'll break the Philippine Law but they would NEVER break the rules of Sta. Elena Golf"
This is just one of your many inconsistencies.
Although I fear that you'll understand my comments the way you want to understand them and come up with even more inane arguments.
Oh and by the way, Fuck you. :)
hmmm so what happened to the other side of the story? there are 2 sides right? oh well i guess now we know why justice is very elusive in your country ...
- Beating someone up is against the law -- the rules that maintain social order
Yes

Yes

Yes

NO. Once again you follow some semblance of organized thought then completely drop all logic and come to a conclusion that doesn't follow your premises. I didn't say that, you assumed that. Let's go back to your last premise: The rules will prevent it. Then stop there. The other golf course didn't even have those rules that could prevent it. That is all. It's so simple..
"there was an article in The Star today with the DAR chief denying the whole thing! the nerve of such people!"
That's funny. In a DZBB interview, he apologized for son's involvement:
http://www.gmanews.tv/story/141550/DAR-chief-apologizes-for-sons-involvement-in-Antipolo-brawl
Ginoong secretary, ano ba talaga ang isyu ninyo? If you really are a peace negotiator, bakit di mo na-negotiate ang peace especially na naroon ka mismo?
The other golf course did not have those rules, but civil society did, does and will always do.
Again, study sarcasm. Perhaps reading a book would help. Educate yourself sir, it helps to gain knowledge. :)
The other golf course did not have those rules, but civil society did, does and will always do.
Are you lost? What rules are you talking about? Me, I'm talking about the rules pertaining to the presence of firearms and personal bodyguards within the golf club. Civil society has rules about the presence of firearms and bodyguards inside all golfclubs? You are so lost. (btw, it's 'civil society did, does and always will.')
I have read a thousand books, since you brought it up. I love to read and my family has an extensive library. But I can assure you, I shall not read trash like your so-called 'novel' where there is talk about people who 'carry a face' or bullets that 'harshly' hit knees or mafia 'gangs' when mafias are organised by families not gangs. By an 'author' with a butt fetish, no less.
And you assumed (wrongly, yet again. surprise surprise) that I am male. I am not.
nde! nde un ung sinabi nia ewan ko sayo ano naiintindihan mo kung meron! eto eto basahin mo o:
Let me just say I'm not blaming anyone, before someone brings that up. I'm just thinking of something that could be done to prevent this from happening again. One step is to begin protecting yourselves by being more discriminating of your chosen company and surroundings.
ill pray for all of you
Ahh, how right you are. I made a strange little sentence there. At least I never claimed that I haven't thought about my opinion. :)
Oh and how many books have you read and misunderstood with your piss poor comprehension of sarcasm?
I'm flattered that you read my 'novel' though. I'll agree with you on that, it's garbage.
Just like your advice.
To be honest, I'd like to live in the world you're living in -- where rules in golf courses are followed and where people don't say "fuck" as much as they do.
But shit happens; laws are not followed. A simple rule will not prevent abusive politicians from taking advantage of other people.
Given this, how do you suggest people discriminate one place from another? How would you test the rule enforcement capabilities of a golf course? Would you try intimidating golf course security? Would you go further?
If these people can only afford "cheap places" then should they just quit golf in fear of power-tripping politicians?
Again, it is essential to point out that the De La Paz family is under no fault.
I can see you referring to your past post where you stated that you weren't blaming anyone. Then again, you claimed that the De La Paz family could've prevented the entire incident if they didn't go to such a 'cheap place'.
Taylor, ganito nalang para maintindihan mo.
'No offense, pero bobo ka. '
Hindi dahil sinabi ko na 'No offense' ibig sabihin na wala talagang offense.
I used to recall one ex-mayor here in Bulacan who was assassinated just this year for abuse of power (that is before-during-after his incumbency). He was shot dead due to his actions in the past. True enough, justice will be served in due time.
Can someone PLEASE ban this Issey jackass? she/he/it isn't contributing anything constructive!! For chrissakes, Issey, shut the fuck up!! Either you're oblivious to the real world, or you're just looking for attention.
I saw this on my friend's multiply. Youre a smart girl for blogging about this right away. I hope you family gets the justice you deserve.
And, by the way, mdnovel, you "threw the first punch" here, be the bigger person and learn to shut up when you can no longer help the matter at hand. You're only adding to the stressfulness of everything. And chiming in with this bad behavior makes you no less horrible than the bodyguards who helped beat up a man who wasn't seeking a fight.
If all else fail which I surely hope not here is a stress reliever where you can whack a mayor BULLY while improving your driving skills.
Pangandaman! ang kapal din naman ng mukha mo! ano sabi mo? kung kilala ka??? baka nakakalimutan mo public official ka! and sweldo mo na binibili mo ng kikakain mo ay galing sa tax payers money at sa taong binugbog mo! on second thought baka hindi rin, kasi sa ugali mo palang mukhang corrupt ka din...like father like son??? kung may natitira ka pang hiya sa balat mo, huwag ka ng tumakbo sa susunod na election or better yet mag resign ka na ngayon..at sama mo na din tatay mo! you are not worthy to be called honorable men!
Just wanted to commiserate with the de La Paz family and wish you strength in the coming days, weeks, and months. More people are on your side than you know, and I encourage more citizens to publicly express their outrage over these and all public officials who act like they are above the law. Whether it's a siren-wailing convoy, a mauling, stealing public money, or cold-blooded murder, they have gotten away with these impunities for too long, because we encourage them with our silence. Enough is enough!
Madame President, what will you do about this one? It's clearly becoming your legacy - allowing a culture of corruption, arrogance, and lawlessness among your staff. Is this what you want, or will you spend your last year in office doing something about it??
i hope that those crazy politicians would die as soon as possible
By the way, I've been a member and regular player at Valley Golf for the last 10 years. I love the club because it's a wonderful, challenging course, and players are generally courteous and polite to each other, which is why I am very disappointed to read this:
http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/breakingnews/metro/view/20081229-180482/Cops-frustrated-over-golf-clubs-silence
Why is the Valley Golf management keeping quiet about the incident? Do you guys owe these goons something? Why does it look like you're trying to protect them?
Your continued silence in this matter, gentlemen, is glaring.
We members pay our monthly dues so we could playin in a well-maintained course, enjoy good food and drink in a nice clubhouse, and maybe build some friendships with other members. I hope I speak for the majority of club members when I say the aforementioned statements, as well as this - I don't want any arrogant, trigger-happy hoodlums disguised as government officials in MY club!
To the Valley Golf board - Do your effing job for once and kick them out permanently. Remember, our monthly dues keep this club afloat and pay for your salaries. Do the right thing and kick them out!
To other Valley Golf Club members, let your voices be heard! Do you want your once-proud club to deteriorate into the Wild Wild East? It's time you spoke up...
Hello Bambee. The hooligans from Lanao Del Sur surely carried with them the violence of their locality when they occupied their respective positions, it's a shame as their actions demonstrated once again what minority of Filipinos know all these times, that most of our government officials are corrupt, unqualified, and abusive. May you and your family recover soon from the physical and emotional trauma suffered at the hands of the Pangandamans and their cohorts.
I believe this experience of yours is an eye opener for all of us on how corrupt and unjust our government still is, on how they will never change. How the heck are the people supposed to give them a chance when their personalities shout corruption?I just hope your father and brother get well and don't let this be a hindrance for a happy holiday celebration. Let this be a sort of bond to you and your family.God Bless!=D
to the mayor and your family, enjoy your last days...
i will pray your family gets justice and that stupid politician and his family GOES TO JAIL! you cannot blame the staff of valley golf, they are ordinary people and they are scared of course
I do hope you find justice. I even posted this in my blog.
phoenixxx7.livejournal.com
Such outrageous acts. GO BAMBEE!
Bastards.
A little far away from their Mindanao city to be causing this much trouble doncha think?
I know how you feel, we also had a similar situation a long long long time ago with some political hotshots.(dad was being beat up at gunpoint)
Hope you do get the justice that your family deserves.
i have read your blog as one of my friends did post it in his FB... i am also happy to know that a lot of people is supporting your cause and the cause to stop the greedy, abusive and self serving politicians... what i would like to convey is that, i hope that we will continue to closely observe and watch how this case moves on... again, i say, that the reason why our country is so full of these kinds of politicians, is actually our own doing... Filipinos are so apathetic, that they can do away with their ill doings, "pag hindi sa atin nangyari, we can just comment and say a lot... " but what do we really do about it?... sana makita natin sa aksyon ang ating suporta at huwag mawawala ang ningas... hindi sapat lang na tayo'y maawa... dapat nating makita sa gawa... Bambee, please post the updates of the case... tama na ang mga mapang abusong tulad nila... let's make Philippines a better place to live in naman...

Hi Bambi,
I can't believe it, Mayor Nasser Pangandaman is claiming self-defense.
I heard him on DZMM's Dos por Dos radio program.
I recorded it and posted it on youtube...
Click on this link to listen to it.
http://pinoybiz.blogspot.com/2008/12/mayor-nasser-pangandaman-says-it-was.html
Bambee, keep the faith! There's still work to be done so get the needed advice your family needs to see this through. To all abusive officials out there - Who do you think you are??!! Your high and mighty hats are soooo lame and old. BAYAN MUNA! To all the witnesses to this tragic incident, please just tell the truth. It will set you free..
Be strong. Fight for justice. And leave the rest to God. Take care! And I hope justice will be served. :)
it goes to show that some politcians think they're god and that they can get away with things like this. may this s.o.b. rot in hell and spend a lengthy time with all the other scum in jail.

right on the money =P
the freako DAR Sec is a big LIAR, just look at the tricks and corruptions he had established for the agrarian reform program.
why am i not surprise?
my prayer goes to your family bambee, Godbless..
Keep your head up! Maraming nakabasa at naantig sa blog mo. Dito mo rin mapapatunayan kung ganun nga ba kagaling ang justice system natin.
Hope and pray that your father and brother are doin' well especially your brother na napanood ko sa tv na takot na takot.
I wish the coming year will bring justice for your family.
So some of our spoiled brothers from the boondocks are at it again... tsk, tsk, tsk... everywhere they go there is always trouble. This is exactly the kind of power they get for rigging elections in their towns. thanks to that lady in power, of course. believe me when I tell you, if they get cornered..? they'll cry out discrimination...
This is the sad truth about Philippine politics. Good thing someone actually had the guts to shout out about it.
I do hope this case is cleared soon and that the guilty party will be justly punished.
I'm gonna spread the news around and see if we can get some additional support. Like everybody else, I'm with you on bringing down these spineless dogs.
Oh, and on a little side note, 'yung mga nag-aaway dito sa Comments area, pakitigilan na lang. Wala namang sense. The attention meant for the actual issue is uselessly diverted on your trash talk and, frankly, a pointless argument. If only human beings didn't have pride. *sigh*
Good thing wala nang ibang pumatol sa inyo. :)
to all those who had posted comments here, why not leave the same comment
at dar website attn: Sec. P.....
at www.dar.gov.ph or at DILG website
o kaya we call dar hotline and press for his resignation.
to those who had posted their comments here, why not post the same at dar website www.dar.gov.ph or at

Mayor Pangandaman:
Self-defense against a man in his late fifties and his 14-year old son? LIAR
Secretary Pangandaman:
A public apology without apologizing to the victims and without an admission of guilt? HYPOCRITE!
Valley Golf Board:
5 days and no results yet after promises of a speedy investigation? INCOMPETENT!
De La Paz Family:
Be strong. We stand with you and will be monitoring this case so it doesn't get whitewashed or covered up.

My sentiments & prayers go to you & your family Ms. Dela Paz. If justice won't prevail in this untoward incident, KARMA will.... KARMA is much stronger than justice.
I am so sorry after reading about your ordeal. I am enraged at how despicable those people are, to think they should be the very same people who are appointed to SERVE. You are very brave for putting this out in the open.
I pray for you and your family. I sincerely hope your family will get past this terrible trauma. Stay strong, and have faith. Justice will be served in the end.
I just posted your blog entry about the damn politicians - ems newbeginning.0rg.ph
The enormous strength of blogs and people who are galvanized by your story (which, for some obvious and powerful reasons, we all can relate to and empathize with) and a common sense of justice and in the process, who come together for a noble cause can not be denied here.
These bad guys who have this misguided notion about their supposed power, leverage, and invincibility in this corruption-infested country of ours should be forewarned.
If you think you can just get away with your crimes and misdeeds so easily just because you think you are powerful, well-connected, and politically influential - and you think your victims are JUST SPECKS OF DUST in your charmed and mighty universe - THEN, THINK AGAIN!
We may not be able to overcome your social connections, or your political fortifications, or your own dirty tricks department that is willing to make a deal with hell just to bail yourself out AT FIRST, but WE CAN BE AUDACIOUSLY RELENTLESS!
EVENTUALLY, we trust that the truth shall prevail; the search for justice will run its course; and WE WILL OVERCOME you!
Yes, it can happen. It will happen. We can make it happen!
Meanwhile, once again, God bless you Bambee and your family - and God bless us all. My thoughts and prayers go out also to all other victims of these abusive members of our society.
Let's keep on trudging and pushing guys! The tipping point is never far away!
AMDG!

hope bloggers can unite and help spread this horrible incident. let us help the dela paz family na mabantyan ang kasong ito.
We are with you in your quest and crusade for JUSTICE and FAIRNESS.
Here are my 2 cents worth:
1. Please don't let the empty apologies suck you up in the unjust justice system that you vehemently fight against and opposed to. Doing so will just perpetuate the arrogant, unfair and oppressive society your family is in. You deserve both criminal and civil justice.
Let the rule of law pervade, not the RULE OF LAWYERS and arrogant politicians.
2. Settling out of court will just disappoint a lot of people you asked to reach out to you in search for justice and fairness. It will do injustice to the media, especially DZRH, which you and your dad FIRST called and sought help and took your family's plight to the attention of the media and the world.
napanood ko ito sa tv. grabe yung trauma na ginawa nila sa bata. sobra talaga. justice. more prayers. i hope their family will be safe.
Hello Bambee,
Good for you that you did not allow this injustice to pass. Greetings from Singapore from a fellow Pinoy.
I've posted an article on my blog to comment on the issue as well. Here's a link: http://kevinpunz.multiply.com/journal/item/30/Accountability_Humility_and_a_Game_of_Golf
Just read this from http://www.gmanews.tv/story/141550/DAR-chief-apologizes-for-sons-involvement-in-Antipolo-brawl
Pangandaman Jr said he talked with the elder De la Paz in a nice way but the man hit him instead with an umbrella and hurled invectives and twice challenged him to a fight.
What a liar.
They're brave because they have bodyguards...because they have guns...challenge them to a fight one on one and it would definitely be a different story. Damned politicians.
One thing I can't get out of my head though is why didn't anyone record this incident on their celphone? That would be a big evidence against these big-headed politicians, and surely a cause of their downfall.
Be strong, Bambee. I'm praying for you and your family. God bless.
I linked the story on my page. That "small time" mayor probably has a "small wee dick" so he has to act like a brute!
Hmm given your dad's reputation on the course, many believe he had it coming... guess he barked up the wrong tree and karma granted him an upstart mayor with an equally short fuse...
hello
This is really unacceptable... an absolute abuse of power. I also have a 14 year old son and I can really feel for your father. Your family should also file a complaint against Valley Golf. They are also responsible.For you Bambee, take care and keep the faith and for your brother, stay positive, everything happens for a reason, I am sure something good will come up because of this. I know this will make your brother a better individual/golfer. Continue with your family's legal matters and I am even willing to contribute financially for your cause.
TO THE CPP/NPA/NDF:
PLEASE GIVE THESE 2 Pangamdaman gorillas a lesson
there is always hope for this country. it starts with us, the educated children of our parents' failing genaration.
I symphatize to what happened to your family. I pray that God may give you enough courage, protections and justice that your family deserves. Dont worry you are fighting not only on your rights but all the rights of people here in Lanao that long been crying.

pero you know what, we can actually do something about this - US BLOGGERS!
i've read here -- http://tech.blorge.com/Structure:%20/2009/01/01/in-china-bloggers-go-after-the-bad-guys/
that chinese bloggers have started these "blogger vigilantes" where they pour out their angst against corrupt politicians online!
madami na pinoys na online @ nagiging "civilized" na din itong mga trapos natin and i bet they will see our voices via our blogs.
malalaman pa ng buong mundo!
- itpinoy!
When I think of "Golf and Country Club," I think of sports and leisure. This would be one of the last places that I would expect to be threatened by an ugly, fat politician and his goons.
Having said that, I think that the Golf Club exhibited poor and weak managerial judgment for directly or indirectly allowing this to happen.
I saw your guesting at Umagang Kay Ganda early today. I also received an email yesterday, thus I placed your entry in my blog too to broadcast what happened. You are in my prayers!
Hi there. Justice will surely prevail, anyhow or anyway.
But maybe you should read this or you maybe have already red this:
http://hunnyjodipattycakes.blogspot.com/2008/12/other-side-of-story.html
May we request of you, bambee to update your blog as frequent as possible so we all know you are *still* doing well. Take care!
Bambee, here's my unsolicited suggestion: for fear of jeopardising the case and so that you avoid being accused by the Pangandaman's of trial by publicity, please be very cautious and careful in your updates while investigation is going on.
i have earnestly followed your family's interviews and a little with the Pangandamans. I have hated throughout my life the arrogance of government officials who think they can do away with anything they want knowing that most of them are nitwits who simply got government posts due to connections. And to top it all, with a measly government salary they can live lavished lives that they do not deserve at all.
please continue to update us with the status of your case, if it is filed, and perhaps i can be of service. don't let go off this and fight until you get your justice. i hope your case will awaken all Filipinos that we should stop the arrogance, graft and corruption of these government officials. Let us be vigilant in policing these A__HO__ES. We need to band together to weed out graft and corruption.
That very unfortunate incident you had is not a rarity. Many abusive so-called "public servants' have done this to helpless law-abiding citizens. I don't know why the authorities tolerate such brazen display of bad behavior and ill-breeding. It just shows that money and power cannot buy character as well as good manners and right conduct
Congratulations are in order for the perpetrators of such a flagrant display of ill-breeding and abuse of power who just became "famous" or should I say...NOTORIOUS and INFAMOUS worldwide. What you did can be read about anywhere in the world. It's so obvious and predictable that the next wave will be death threats to scare the victims. That is so predictable and so passe. To the dela Paz family: Stay strong. You are the voice of the many victims of these abusive people in power who are forced to remain silent because they are cowered into submission by their goons and guns. Now is the day of reckoning for these despicable characters.
awful thing, my dear... i know its a long shot, but may these political animals get what they deserve...

nakupo, mayor pa lang to ng maliit na bayan sa maliit na probinsya, pano na kung mas mataas na ang posisyon nila?
To all Bloggers try posting ur articels here thanks http://philbuzz.com
I can relate to how you're feeling Bambee. We are Christians but my sister married a Moro who eventually shot her, and killed one of their daughters before Christmas day 2 years ago. No justice has been served. The guy is being protected by his Moro relatives. He is also using the remaining children as his human shield. I do hope you wouldn't stop fighting for your case. But if that fails (just like what happened to my sister), know that God's justice would come at the right place and the right time; And even those who protect those who have done their fellowmen injustice shall never be spared. We are praying for your family.
You're very strong Bambee. Continue the fight. We really need to be strong especially against those people who abuses the power bestowed upon them by the citizens.I pray taht justice shall be served to you and to your family=)
I even heard na ang mga Pangandaman daw ang nagulpi?! How could anyone believe that, e anong ginawa ng body guards nila? Halatang mga liars ang mga Pangandaman.
Well, I'm on your side, and I'll pray for you and your family.
dapat sa mga ganyan, ginugulpi din.
sinasalvage. just cause you got a position in the government doesn't mean power trip ka na. well all of them are. simpleng kotse nga lang nila, mga power trip na sa daan. bandang huli, pantay pantay lang tingin sa atin ng diyos. tingnan natin kung saan sila babagsak.
karma can kill. and so they will get karma.
stay strong. we can wait for the world to change. more prayers to your family. God bless.
as i read your message on your blog, it only shows how the pangandaman's behave, diplaying their immaturity in public,irresponsible behaviour, yet civilized but not cultured,..people like that have no place in the educated even in the uneducated society.. MGA HAMBOG!!!
Don't give up the fight we the people of mindanao are at your side....
hahaha... the Pangandamans are now scrambling. This is what you get when do you something totally stupid in the internet age. I hope Sec. Pangandaman and his bone-headed son reads my comment here.
To daddy and little boy Pangandaman... you stupid fools! Don't ask bloggers to stop condemning you and think that we will have pity on your family. A lesson for you in the information age - you do something bad and it goes out to the whole world. Get it? And we don't damn care whether your family or your nephews get hurt reading all the blogs. You shoudl have thought of that when you were beating up that boy. You see, in this country of ours, unfortunately, people like you can make justice roll or stop --- don't tell us you're not trying to pull strings to sway justice on your side. We're too smart for that. Now, in this day and age, we bloggers wield a power your bone-headed brains can't comprehend. Your money and power may be enough to get you out of jail (assuming you get the right strings pulled), but the internet will always judge you on facts.
Truth spreads out like wildfire. Why not put up your own blog? Afraid to have it overrun with guys like us? Tsk tsk tsk...
as i read your message on what happenend at the golf course, it flashes back to my memory on what happened to my father way back in 1974 where we are a victim of the same incident where a muslim of a high profile likewise has been involved, kaya di masolve yong gulo dito sa mindanao dahil sa mga katulad nila, MGA HAMBOG! WE MUST NOW TAKE A STAND..AND THAT IS TO FIGHT FOR JUSTICE....WE ARE AT YOUR SIDE....
To the pangandaman's bodyguards- mga langaw lang kayong nakatuntong sa kalabaw na may sungay na galing sa impyerno...pagdating ng panahon titirisin rin kayo nyan kung di na kayo mapapakinabangan....
These people think we owe them...but the fact is they owe us. They owe us everything! we are the one paying for their GUNS, their BODYGUARDS, their SUVS, their golf clubs, branded clothes and shoes...! it feels like we are still under the Spanish regime. they are the fat friars and we are the indios.
let us know how we can contribute. we can set up a fund to help you fight these bastards.
In yesterday's interview, the mayor was asking people to stop blogging about them because it was affecting his 7 yr old grandson. he is lucky that his grandson was not beaten by somebody else's bodygruards! i just hate these lying, power-hungry, bastards.
point of the matter is... they all came out unscathed while your brother and father came out battered and wounded. PERIOD!!! who beat up who and who started what doesn't even matter.
Bambee,
I got your story through our group's account and I am boiling mad at these politicians.
I'm here in Canada now and I showed your account of what transpired to my brother who's been here for 9 years now (and who has not gone back to the Philippines since then).
His resigned reply was: "That is the reason why i would not like to go back to the Philippines. Baka may matitigan lang akong politician or bodyguard ng politician, bigla na lang akong barilin."
He further said: "Kaya ayaw kong ipasyal mga anak ko sa Pilipinas. They grew up here and English-speaking na sila. Baka marinig ng isang politician or bodyguard nito or kapitbahay ng bodyguard nito, baka mayabangan, biglang saksakin na lang ang anak ko."
I can't blame him.
Last October, I was in a coffee shop here. I saw the Mayor of the second largest city of Alberta seated a few tables away from me. He did not have any bodyguard(s)around him.
Last November, I had a luncheon-meeting with an MLA here (Mla is counterpart of a Congressman in the Philippines). I took note of the fact that he was driving his own car and he did not have any bodyguard(s) surrounding him. When I amusedly told told him of my observation (dahil sanay ako sa mga napakayayabang na mga politiko sa Pilipinas), his reply was: "Why do I need to do that? I can drive my car. And having bodyguards... we don't do that here. People will not like that."
Ang layo!!! Tapos yang warlord na yan (and carrying the title "Honorable"), ganyan?! "Hindi mo ba ako kilala?!" Nakakasuka! Yan ang Public Servant, Pinoy style!!! Kelan kaya sila magsasabi ng "I... am... sorry..." Sabay suntok ulit sa mukha ng kapatid mong bata?
Kaya wala talagang pag-asa ang bayan natin, eh. Kanya-kanyang kabig. Kanya-kanyang bulsa. kanya-kanyang yabang. And they are all honorable! From the north to the south, most specially kung nakadikit sa Malacanang...
Our country's only chance of ever rising up above all these is to have a Christian Dictator take over. But that in itself is already a contradiction in terms and will never happen...
Haay, Pilipinas... makakabangon ka pa kaya?

Now I know!! Kung Bakit hindi matapos ang Gulo sa Mindanao? Dahil sa mga Katulad nang mga Pangandaman Family!!
It seems that we've been reacting to only 1 side of the story these past couple of weeks. While I agree with everyone that the Pangandamans are utterly and inexcusably guilty of violence toward a minor, recent news about the incident suggest that the aggrieved party, namely Mr. de la Paz, was not entirely an innocent and helpless 56-year-old victim. Recent news suggest that his belligerence, short-temper, and equal lack of golf etiquette provoked the incident. I know this will spur a lot of heated discussion, but we need to look at both sides of the story. I reiterate my opinion that the Pangandamans should face the consequence of their violent acts, and for not upholding the higher standards they need to behave by, being government officials. Should they be permanently banned from Valley Golf - I think so. Should they be found guilty of criminal charges - yes, against the 14-year old de la Paz. Even if he tried to hit Mayor Pangandaman, hitting a minor is child abuse in the law, plain ans simple. Should they be made to resign from their posts? - arguably. Mayors shouldn't hit citizens, and cabinet members shouldn't involve themselves in any kind of violence, much less stand by and do nothing while it is happening.
the other question though, is should Mr. de la Paz be suspended from Valley Golf? Yes, for 6 months because he provoked the whole incident. Should he face criminal charges? Arguably, but it's hard to prove. I think the judge should slap his wrist though for knowingly putting his children into a dangerous situation because of his arrogance and belligerence.
bambee hang in there my family's prayers are with you and your family...
to the Pangandamans "bahala na si Allah sa inyo"
side comment " saw a video interview of Sec. Pangadaman uttering a weak apology to your family with mikey arroyo in the background obviously playing golf in baguio. hmmmmm i guess you really need a lot of help bambee, obviously mr.secretary pangandaman plays buddy-buddy with the Arroyo's." wala man lang ginawa si GMA regarding the action of her people.kapal muks!
Hi.
I told my friends about your blog a week ago and they were really shocked about what happened to your family. I pray that justice will be served and that your dad and brother will get well soon. (By the way, I also heard your story on Magic 89.9 Boy's Night Out when I was on my way home. It's just that the names were not mentioned.)
God is always with us, and will always be.

Hello just add my prayers for your family and those misguided oppressors. Let's all stand up to these bullies.
Pangandaman is a Muslim.
Everywhere there is a Muslim, there is bound to be trouble.
What can I say, no offence to any Muslim out there but it is just what I see.
Ignorance people with power have the tendencies to dominate others they feel inferior.
In this present age of (hypocrisy,quarrel,conflicts,wars & chaos)it is very difficult to realize God.
Therefore,God makes the method for realizing Him very,very easy.In this age,we don't have to give up all our all our possessions and become nuns or priests.We don't have to build giant golden temples to please Him.We don't need to engage in complicated methods of demigod worship.We don't need to engage in austerities like sitting for ten hours or imitate Jesus doing his passion and crucifixion during holy week.

I hope this will enlighten and make you understand.
Al Quiada,Abu Sayaf,Taliban,Basilan & Sulu,International,Religious Sexual And Other Conflicts Are Rooted On The Misunderstanding As The Body Being the Self.
The root cause of the problem in Basilan and Sulu is the ignorance of the true identities of the selves on both the conflicting sides.
The Criminal,terroristic,kidnapping acts of the Al Quiada,Abu Sayaf,the latest bombings in public places by the Palestinians,MILF,in predominantly Jewish,Christians communities.
The call of Jihad(holy war)by their leader,to kill,maim,hurt the enemies of their Muslim religion,for all the unjust persecution and ridicule,discrimination by supposedly Christians done to the minorities.
Each body has a multitude of labels and characteristics,as in wearing different colored clothes,as a result we wrongly identify the person or self to be labels associated with his body.Being unable to see past the labels to the person himself,we end up in a world of barriers and conflicts.
enlightened persons are free from such clouded visions..the wise can see the person or atma or spirit soul within the body and relate to the person,not to his body,the wise are free of prejudice racism,sexism,class consciousness,etc.All living beings are marginal eternal spiritual sparks of the Supreme being God,no matter the body,color of body,age,nationality,religion,faith,etc,or even species,are an eternal life particle,a childof God.This wisdom is the medicine that can transform a world of prejudice,wars and conflict into a world of peace and harmony,Individual happiness and social harmony are possible only when we come to appreciate our true spiritual essence.
As President Bill Clinton said in his speech in the United Nations"We all live in Boxes of different colors,shapes and sizes and how we love the boxes we live in "believing we are the box"In Jesus name.
This world is filled with hatred due to lack of spiritual vision.People see with their material eyes Al Quiada,Abu Sayaf,MILF,Muslim,Taliban,Palestinian,Iraqi,Jews,Bandits,Criminals,Blacks,Whites,Brown,Yellow,young,old,male,female,long and short hair,all they see are bodies or boxes and the different kinds of bodies.
Spiritual education is the development of spiritual vision such as seeing"Here is a spark of God in a brown body"and so on. A person with spiritual vision sees all people as children of God,even though they have different kinds of bodies.When there is false identification with the material body,there is ignorance,and ignorance results to hatred,wars,and conflicts,such as one race hating another race,one religion hating another,religion,Being a Born-again Christian,Catholic,Buddhist,Hindu,Muslim,Jewish,etc,are all external designations.
Today everyone is fighting over property,natural resources,and turf,but actually everything is Gods and every person is a child of God,all this is unnecessary and based on ignorance,not knowing who you realizing this we willnot hate anyone or anything,we remember our common father,the source of all of us,our relationships no longer strangers but relatives to love,respect,tolerate,relate with spiritual vision,seeing the Supreme Lord within everyone and everything.
