I hope your father and brother get well soon... and I certainly hope this does not slip through the cracks unreciprocated, as do so many things in this world.

A Plurk-friend of mine posted the link of your blog in his time line and I went to check it out. Lo and behold, the story about the politician beating up your dad and brother came about.

I pray that justice will be served.
I pray that your family will be safe always.
I pray that the politician musters enough courage (and conscience) to owe up to his actions.

God Bless you always :)

P.S: I re-posted your blog's link na rin.

I am a real Muslim (a faithful one, praying five times a day) and I am appalled by the arrogance of the Secretary and the Mayor. The Secretary was a party-by-ommission (or tolerance?). He did not do anything to stop his son or help pacify people in that situation. He does not deserve a sit in the government's peace panel.

Continue your fight for justice courageous young lady. There are many well-meaning and civilized citizens of this country who are ready to help you. I am already one of them.

I live in Canada now, but still have friends and family there. Was there anything at all we can do to help your family out, from far away? Also, I have friends who work at major newspapers there, so perhaps we can have some article published.

being powerful politicians do not make the Pangandamans' special beings worthy of any special treatment and attention.
i am praying for your family's recovery, both physical and emotional and no less than your relentless pursuit of justice against these subhuman species who perpetrated this senseless violence against your family. The Pangandaman's have no place in this society.

Praying and hoping for justice is one thing... TAKING ACTION FOR IT is another.

This is clearly an assault and battery criminal acts which is punishable by law and so therefore you must take a stand and fight these people who think they are above the law! This kind of thing doesn't go unnoticed here in the US esp if it involves gov't officials.

Of course there are repercussions and you just might open pandora's box and be in a bigger mess than already is. BUT something must be done so justice will really be served.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

My prayer goes to you and your family,a tragedy like this can last for a lifetime.May their souls burn and rot in hell.I also hope that these people from the golf club open their eyes and stand up for justice.

I'm telling you right now,these people are capable of these madness.My brother's best friend's cousin got shot and died due to a simple altercation in a bar by a Mayor son from Muslim Mindanao.To this day they are still awaiting justice.These people are psychos and are incapable of love.

I used to work for a radio station as a Deejay Davao City,I'll ring some of my friends and ask them to make a noise about this one and call out for justice.I'll spread the word here as well,I'm in Japan right now working as an English Teacher.

A similar incident, however less violent, happened to a friend of mine at a tennis club in Cebu City. While my friend was playing tennis, his wife and little daughter were at the pool site. A boy was continuously hitting a coca-cola bottle on the floor and my friend's wife as him" "Stop it", since she was worried that the bottle may brake and the glass hurt the boy and her daughter.

Then suddenly a furious lady approached my friend's wife why she had called her son "stupid", obviously misunderstanding the words "stop it". The lady got so angry and mentioned: "Don't you know me? I am the daughter of .." then the name of a prominent Cebu family felt.

My friend rushed to the scene and tried to calm everybody down, but to no avail. They then packed their things and went home. Later they were informed by the club owner that the lady tried to trace their names and residence, but he couldn't tell (both are foreigners).

I know that many similar stories of power abuse are happening. I hope all will come out with their stories.

The only thing these thugs are worried about is transparancy. They fear it like vampires are fearing sunlight.

The overwhelming response to this incident shows that there is hope left for this countr

According to this Inquirer report, the police are frustrated over Valley Golf's refusal to cooperate. Perhaps public pressure should now bear upon Valley Golf to, so to speak, tell the truth. It may help if such pressure is exerted not only on the club's management, but also to its famous and influential members. It would be unbecoming for any decent person to remain a member of such a club that would sanction that sort of behavior.

The names of the members of the Board of Directors of Valley Golf are on the club's website.

If there could be one thing to lean from this and to prevent that from happening, maybe this one lesson will help: to learn to be more DISCRIMINATING of the places you go to.

And yes going to one place is one thing, being a member is an altogether more serious matter. Before having a membership to ANYthing, you must take note of the people who will surround you and what kind of place it is. You're comitting yourself to go there plenty times because you will be a member right?

I cannot help thinking this will not happen in Sta. Elena Golf, for example, because #1, firearms aren't allowed inside the country club (that's already a major thing, you will find that many men have as much braincells and courage as the number of bullets they have ready at-hand), #2 bodyguards must wait outside for they have no business being in there (another important thing, one egocentric man without his bodyguards would think twice before beating up some stranger)and #3, members are expected to be proper and civil at all times (considering the rigorous requirement/qualifications to be met before being considered for membership there).

You could have had more security at a better facility than this never-heard 'golf club.' Their staff's actions as you described it is enough evidence. They were like unplugged robots not knowing what to do during the situation when they were supposed to handle it PROPERLY.

No one deserves to be treated like that. But remember, it's true you get what you pay for. Cheap facility, cheap service and treatment.

Let me just say I'm not blaming anyone, before someone brings that up. I'm just thinking of something that could be done to prevent this from happening again. One step is to begin protecting yourselves by being more discriminating of your chosen company and surroundings.

mdnovel said...

Issey, excuse me?!

This is neither the time nor place for shameless advertisements. If you weren't advertising, then you're bringing up an unnecessary and fruitless point.

The world needs less people who "create" different opinions just for the sake of having a different opinion.

Issey, let me tell you one thing -- that post did not make you sound smart at all. So go back to your debater forums or your high-class golf clubs and pull out that dildo that's dangling from your arse.

Moron.

Unknown said...

dear mdnovel,

If advising someone how to protect theirself is fruitless and needless, what do you stand for? I bet you're one of those people who would read about a story like Bambee's and get all "shocked and OMGed" and stuff and stop there. Here I am sharing advise as I see it, as neutrally as I can, coming from a good place and there you are being all malicious.

I never claimed I was smart. I am not advertising and I don't know about 'creating opinions' because from where I come from, people JUST have opinions.. we don't even think about it. You don't know where I come either, and 'debater forums' or whatever it is you're talking about is something new to me.

So, if there's a little bit of civil, humane fiber in you, I hope I'm the last STRANGER you will call a moron ans speak of arses to on the internet.

KTHXBAI.

mdnovel said...

"because from where I come from, people JUST have opinions.. we don't even think about it."

And there we go. Issey admits to not thinking about his opinion.

The thing is, Issey, that despite peoples' abilities and rights to declare their opinions on the web, there are still valid ones and stupid ones. Yours was stupid and haphazardly insensitive beyond measure.

"You could've protected yourself better by going to a better golf club" -- is garbage and can only be seen as some retard trying to be different from everyone else.

~~~
With regard to the recent apology, I hope that it was said with the utmost sincerity. Although this: "Pangandaman said that his "New Year's wish" was to see the case immediately resolved" is a bit discouraging. It has off-court settlement offer written all over it. I sincerely hope the bastard spends time in prison.
armisael said...
ooof, that's an out of place opinion in such a time and situation.
If then we would all adopt that line of thinking as specified by a previous comment, then what would be the sense of laws and the whole law enforcement system? They will pay for what they have done and no amount of rationalization will change that.
Unknown said...
I was talking about not needing to think of how to 'create opinions' because I just have one: my own. The very definition of an opinion, since you so insist on talking about it, is that it requires some thought to form one.
And I don't know why but all your talk of arses, morons, retards, garbage, stupidity: what are you? And honestly, for you to talk about insensitivity.. Hah. Stick to one side my friend, you cant call somene a retard and moron without provocation and then speak about insensitivity the next. That's just really.. odd.
And the thing is, mdnovel, you can't judge me based on your own rather questionable 'measure.' I offered advice, whether taken or not is up to whom it may concern and that's all it really was. You chose to interpret it as something out of this world, shooting insults every which way, when the bottomline is, you don't seem to have any constructive agenda.
So I advise you, and again this is only an advise, to leave other people be when you can't comprehend the meat of what they are saying and to seek peace and not provoke total strangers.
Unknown said...
And to spell it out: What I said doesn't mean the troublemakers shouldn't have to pay. Of course justice should be served. Of course. What they did is terrible. But we're all done saying that. People have said that a thousand times. For me to say that won't help one bit. What I'm talking about is what can be done so you don't even have to deal with people like that anymore: Protect yourself. Simple.
mdnovel said...
What I'm talking about is what can be done so you don't even have to deal with people like that anymore: Protect yourself. Simple.
Indeed, Issey, indeed!
So you do agree that you just wanted to be different from everybody else. :)
So, regarding your opinion:
If there could be one thing to lean from this and to prevent that from happening, maybe this one lesson will help: to learn to be more DISCRIMINATING of the places you go to.
You could have had more security at a better facility than this never-heard 'golf club.' Their staff's actions as you described it is enough evidence. They were like unplugged robots not knowing what to do during the situation when they were supposed to handle it PROPERLY.
Because it's so easy to tell what the staff will do in the face of an abusive politician and bodyguards with guns.
Let me just say I'm not blaming anyone, before someone brings that up. I'm just thinking of something that could be done to prevent this from happening again. One step is to begin protecting yourselves by being more discriminating of your chosen company and surroundings.
Because being in the company of successful politicians in a golf course that has hosted the Philippine Open thrice is DANGEROUS isn't it?
~~~

Besides, I'm sure if you raided the Sta. Elena golf course with armed bodyguards, the staff would confiscate their guns because dangerous weapons aren't allowed inside, neh?

Try again Issey mate.

Huh? Why would you raid a golf course with armed bodyguards.. what? Haha.. Armed bodyguards?? Raid a golf course?? Hello, just bring soldiers if you like, if you seriously want to raid it. While you're at it, why not try the corner pirated DVD sellers because it's illegal, not a golf course where they're NOT doing something illegal that you should raid it? And yes, yknow what. They will confiscate the guns. And yes, for the reason that it's not allowed to bring firearms inside. Yes, you got that right. I'm really proud of you.

You're such a classic. First you talk trash, saying all those uncalled-for bad words, dodging the topic, and when you can't keep doing it, you switch gears and do the next best thing you can think of: talk about everything BUT what really matters.

You're just nitpicking at the little unimportant details like who's got the same opinion and who has a different opinion. Imagine, to devote an entire post about why 'this particular sentence makes this person different! Omg, he's different, she's different!'

Because it's so easy to tell what the staff will do in the face of an abusive politician and bodyguards with guns.
Wow. Do you even know where you are? I'll quote Bambee for you:
The people at Valley Golf did not seem to want to help us. None of the security guards even tried to stop the fight. Right in the clubhouse. I came back after the fight was over and talked to the receptionists. They say they did not see anything. The general manager of Valley Golf would not give us the names of the men who made my brother's ear bleed. It took him an hour. Maybe even more than that. He seemed to not want to help us.
Hence, they did not handle it properly.

Because being in the company of successful politicians in a golf course that has hosted the Philippine Open thrice is DANGEROUS isn't it?
YES, hello, yes it's dangerous! This is the entire reason why you're even writing here! A 'successful' politician BEAT UP a 56 year old man and a 14 year old boy in a golfcourse that 'hosted the philippine open thrice' according to you.

So again, I maintain my original point, my advise to protect yourself, seek better company. And to maybe get some sleep because you can think better, produce less trashy words when you are refreshed.

Uhuh. If you weren't from the future, how the FUCK would you have expected that?

And since you were too stupid to understand sarcasm, it's not even worth the effort to point out everything that's wrong with your post anymore.

One thing I'll say is that with your last post, you've driven yourself into the ravaged anus of stupidity.

Gee, you must be so proud of yourself, you said the F word! To a total stranger, no less! And with all your talk of anuses and arses.. you have some kind of fetish or something?

Well I'm not surprised you're as detached to social vernacular as you are to your messy ideals.

Okay, let's put it this way so you can understand:

- Beating someone up is against the law -- the rules that maintain social order

- You acknowledge that the event happened. Someone broke the rules.

- You advise that next time, one should go to a place where there are rules against violent conduct and armed interference.

~~~
Okay, so from what I gather:
You believe that Sta. Elena Golf's club rules will somehow prevent violence and abuse.
"They'll break the Philippine Law but they would NEVER break the rules of Sta. Elena Golf"
This is just one of your many inconsistencies.
Although I fear that you'll understand my comments the way you want to understand them and come up with even more inane arguments.
Oh and by the way, Fuck you. :)
NO. Once again you follow some semblance of organized thought then completely drop all logic and come to a conclusion that doesn't follow your premises. I didn't say that, you assumed that. Let's go back to your last premise: The rules will prevent it. Then stop there. The other golf course didn't even have those rules that could prevent it. That is all. It's so simple..
Are you lost? What rules are you talking about? Me, I'm talking about the rules pertaining to the presence of firearms and personal bodyguards within the golf club. Civil society has rules about the presence of firearms and bodyguards inside all golfclubs? You are so lost. (btw, it's 'civil society did, does and always will.')
I have read a thousand books, since you brought it up. I love to read and my family has an extensive library. Ahh, how right you are. I made a strange little sentence there. At least I never claimed that I haven't thought about my opinion. :)
Oh and how many books have you read and misunderstood with your piss poor comprehension of sarcasm?
I'm flattered that you read my 'novel' though. I'll agree with you on that, it's garbage.
Just like your advice.
To be honest, I'd like to live in the world you're living in -- where rules in golf courses are followed and where people don't say "fuck" as much as they do.
But shit happens; laws are not followed. A simple rule will not prevent abusive politicians from taking advantage of other people.
Given this, how do you suggest people discriminate one place from another? How would you test the rule enforcement capabilities of a golf course? Would you try intimidating golf course security? Would you go further?
If these people can only afford "cheap places" then should they just quit golf in fear of power-tripping politicians?
Again, it is essential to point out that the De La Paz family is under no fault.
I can see you referring to your past post where you stated that you weren't blaming anyone. Then again, you claimed that the De La Paz family could've prevented the entire incident if they didn't go to such a 'cheap place'.
Why is the Valley Golf management keeping quiet about the incident? Do you guys owe these goons something? Why does it look like you're trying to protect them?
Your continued silence in this matter, gentlemen, is glaring.
We members pay our monthly dues so we could playin in a well-maintained course, enjoy good food and drink in a nice clubhouse, and maybe build some friendships with other members. I hope I speak for the majority of club members when I say the aforementioned statements, as well as this - I don't want any arrogant, trigger-happy hoodlums disguised as government officials in MY club!
To the Valley Golf board - Do your effing job for once and kick them out permanently. Remember, our monthly dues keep this club afloat and pay for your salaries. Do the right thing and kick them out!
The enormous strength of blogs and people who are galvanized by your story (which, for some obvious and powerful reasons, we all can relate to and empathize with) and a common sense of justice and in the process, who come together for a noble cause can not be denied here.
These bad guys who have this misguided notion about their supposed power, leverage, and invincibility in this corruption-infested country of ours should be forewarned.
If you think you can just get away with your crimes and misdeeds so easily just because you think you are powerful, well-connected, and politically influential - and you think your victims are JUST SPECKS OF DUST in your charmed and mighty universe - THEN, THINK AGAIN!
We may not be able to overcome your social connections, or your political fortifications, or your own dirty tricks department that is willing to make a deal with hell just to bail yourself out AT FIRST, but WE CAN BE AUDACIOUSLY RELENTLESS!
EVENTUALLY, we trust that the truth shall prevail; the search for justice will run its course; and WE WILL OVERCOME you!
Here are my 2 cents worth:
1. Please don't let the empty apologies suck you up in the unjust justice system that you vehemently fight against and opposed to. Doing so will just perpetuate the arrogant, unfair and oppressive society your family is in. You deserve both criminal and civil justice.
Let the rule of law pervade, not the RULE OF LAWYERS and arrogant politicians.
2. Settling out of court will just disappoint a lot of people you asked to reach out to you in search for justice and fairness. It will do injustice to the media, especially DZRH, which you and your dad FIRST called and sought help and took your family's plight to the attention of the media and the world.
I don't know why the authorities tolerate such brazen display of bad behavior and ill-breeding. It just shows that money and power cannot buy character as well as good manners and right conduct
amsilentnomore said...
Congratulations are in order for the perpetrators of such a flagrant display of ill-breeding and abuse of power who just became "famous" or should I say...NOTORIOUS and INFAMOUS worldwide. What you did can be read about anywhere in the world. It's so obvious and predictable that the next wave will be death threats to scare the victims. That is so predictable and so passe. To the dela Paz family: Stay strong. You are the voice of the many victims of these abusive people in power who are forced to remain silent because they are cowered into submission by their goons and guns. Now is the day of reckoning for these despicable characters.
I can relate to how you're feeling Bambee. We are Christians but my sister married a Moro who eventually shot her, and killed one of their daughters before Christmas day 2 years ago. No justice has been served. The guy is being protected by his Moro relatives. He is also using the remaining children as his human shield. I do hope you wouldn't stop fighting for your case. But if that fails (just like what happened to my sister), know that God's justice would come at the right place and the right time; And even those who protect those who have done their fellowmen injustice shall never be spared. We are praying for your family.
dapat sa mga ganyan, ginugulpi din.
sinasalvage. just cause you got a position in the government doesn't mean power trip ka na. well all of them are. simpleng kotse nga lang nila, mga power trip na sa daan. bandang huli, pantay pantay lang tingin sa atin ng diyos. tingnan natin kung saan sila babagsak.
karma can kill. and so they will get karma.
stay strong. we can wait for the world to change. more prayers to your family. God bless.
as i read your message on your blog, it only shows how the pangandaman's behave, diplaying their immaturity in public,irresponsible behaviour, yet civilized but not cultured,..people like that have no place in the educated even in the uneducated society.. MGA HAMBOG!!!
Don't give up the fight we the people of mindanao are at your side....
hahaha... the Pangandamans are now scrambling. This is what you get when do you something totally stupid in the internet age. I hope Sec. Pangandaman and his bone-headed son reads my comment here.
To daddy and little boy Pangandaman... you stupid fools! Don't ask bloggers to stop condemning you and think that we will have pity on your family. A lesson for you in the information age - you do something bad and it goes out to the whole world. Get it? And we don't damn care whether your family or your nephews get hurt reading all the blogs. You shoudl have thought of that when you were beating up that boy. You see, in this country of ours, unfortunately, people like you can make justice roll or stop --- don't tell us you're not trying to pull strings to sway justice on your side. We're too smart for that. Now, in this day and age, we bloggers wield a power your bone-headed brains can't comprehend. Your money and power may be enough to get you out of jail (assuming you get the right strings pulled), but the internet will always judge you on facts.
Truth spreads out like wildfire. Why not put up your own blog? Afraid to have it overrun with guys like us? Tsk tsk tsk...
as i read your message on what happenend at the golf course, it flashes back to my memory on what happened to my father way back in 1974 where we are a victim of the same incident where a muslim of a high profile likewise has been involved, kaya di masolve yong gulo dito sa mindanao dahil sa mga katulad nila, MGA HAMBOG! NA KUNG MAG ACT PARANG PAG AARI NILA ANG BUONG MINDANAO AT PILIPINAS,MGA MASASAMANG TAO NA DAPAT WALANG PUWANG SA MUNDO,KAILAN PA KAYA MATOTODAS ANG MGA LINTIK NA YAN...bakit kaya sa pilipinas takot tayong lumaban sa mga demonyong halata na ang sungay? dapat na tayong manindigan kung sa anong side tayo papanig, wag nating hayaang maghari ang mga taong pinaghaharian na ng dilim,WE MUST NOW TAKE A STAND..AND THAT IS TO FIGHT FOR JUSTICE....WE ARE AT YOUR SIDE....
To the pangandaman's bodyguards- mga langaw lang kayong nakatuntong sa kalabaw na may sungay na galing sa impyerno...pagdating ng panahon titirisin rin kayo nyan kung di na kayo mapapakinabangan....
These people think we owe them...but the fact is they owe us. They owe us everything! we are the one paying for their GUNS, their BODYGUARDS, their SUVS, their golf clubs, branded clothes and shoes...! it feels like we are still under the Spanish regime. they are the fat friars and we are the indios.
let us know how we can contribute. we can set up a fund to help you fight these bastards.
In yesterday's interview, the mayor was asking people to stop blogging about them because it was affecting his 7 yr old grandson. he is lucky that his grandson was not beaten by somebody else's bodygruards! i just hate these lying, power-hungry, bastards.
point of the matter is... they all came out unscathed while your brother and father came out battered and wounded. PERIOD!!! who beat up who and who started what doesn't even matter.
Bambee,
I got your story through our group's account and I am boiling mad at these politicians.
I'm here in Canada now and I showed your account of what transpired to my brother who's been here for 9 years now (and who has not gone back to the Philippines since then).
His resigned reply was: "That is the reason why i would not like to go back to the Philippines. Baka may matitigan lang akong politician or bodyguard ng politician, bigla na lang akong barilin."
He further said: "Kaya ayaw kong ipasyal mga anak ko sa Pilipinas. They grew up here and English-speaking na sila. Baka marinig ng isang politician or bodyguard nito or kapitbahay ng bodyguard nito, baka mayabangan, biglang saksakin na lang ang anak ko."
I can't blame him.
Last October, I was in a coffee shop here. I saw the Mayor of the second largest city of Alberta seated a few tables away from me. He did not have any bodyguard(s)around him.
Last November, I had a luncheon-meeting with an MLA here (Mla is counterpart of a Congressman in the Philippines). I took note of the fact that he was driving his own car and he did not have any bodyguard(s) surrounding him. When I amusedly told told him of my observation (dahil sanay ako sa mga napakayayabang na mga politiko sa Pilipinas), his reply was: "Why do I need to do that? I can drive my car. And having bodyguards... we don't do that here. People will not like that."
Ang layo!!! Tapos yang warlord na yan (and carrying the title "Honorable"), ganyan?! "Hindi mo ba ako kilala?!" Nakakasuka! Yan ang Public Servant, Pinoy style!!! Kelan kaya sila magsasabi ng "I... am... sorry..." Sabay suntok ulit sa mukha ng kapatid mong bata?
Kaya wala talagang pag-asa ang bayan natin, eh. Kanya-kanyang kabig. Kanya-kanyang bulsa. kanya-kanyang yabang. And they are all honorable! From the north to the south, most specially kung nakadikit sa Malacanang...
Our country's only chance of ever rising up above all these is to have a Christian Dictator take over. But that in itself is already a contradiction in terms and will never happen...
Haay, Pilipinas... makakabangon ka pa kaya?
It seems that we've been reacting to only 1 side of the story these past couple of weeks. While I agree with everyone that the Pangandamans are utterly and inexcusably guilty of violence toward a minor, recent news about the incident suggest that the aggrieved party, namely Mr. de la Paz, was not entirely an innocent and helpless 56-year-old victim. Recent news suggest that his belligerence, short-temper, and equal lack of golf etiquette provoked the incident. I know this will spur a lot of heated discussion, but we need to look at both sides of the story. I reiterate my opinion that the Pangandamans should face the consequence of their violent acts, and for not upholding the higher standards they need to behave by, being government officials. Should they be permanently banned from Valley Golf - I think so. Should they be found guilty of criminal charges - yes, against the 14-year old de la Paz. Even if he tried to hit Mayor Pangandaman, hitting a minor is child abuse in the law, plain ans simple. Should they be made to resign from their posts? - arguably. Mayors shouldn't hit citizens, and cabinet members shouldn't involve themselves in any kind of violence, much less stand by and do nothing while it is happening.
the other question though, is should Mr. de la Paz be suspended from Valley Golf? Yes, for 6 months because he provoked the whole incident. Should he face criminal charges? Arguably, but it's hard to prove. I think the judge should slap his wrist though for knowingly putting his children into a dangerous situation because of his arrogance and belligerence.
Hi.
I told my friends about your blog a week ago and they were really shocked about what happened to your family. I pray that justice will be served and that your dad and brother will get well soon. (By the way, I also heard your story on Magic 89.9 Boy's Night Out when I was on my way home. It's just that the names were not mentioned.)
Ignorance people with power have the tendencies to dominate others they feel inferior.
In this present age of (hypocrisy,quarrel,conflicts,wars & chaos)it is very difficult to realize God.
Therefore,God makes the method for realizing Him very,very easy.In this age,we don't have to give up all our all our possessions and become nuns or priests.We don't have to build giant golden temples to please Him.We don't need to engage in complicated methods of demigod worship.We don't need to engage in austerities like sitting for ten hours or imitate Jesus doing his passion and crucifixion during holy week.
I hope this will enlighten and make you understand.
Al Quiada,Abu Sayaf,Taliban,Basilan & Sulu,International,Religious Sexual And Other Conflicts Are Rooted On The Misunderstanding As The Body Being the Self.
The root cause of the problem in Basilan and Sulu is the ignorance of the true identities of the selves on both the conflicting sides.
The Criminal,terroristic,kidnapping acts of the Al Quiada,Abu Sayaf,the latest bombings in public places by the Palestinians,MILF,in predominantly Jewish,Christians communities.
The call of Jihad(holy war)by their leader,to kill,maim,hurt the enemies of their Muslim religion,for all the unjust persecution and ridicule,discrimination by supposedly Christians done to the minorities.
Each body has a multitude of labels and characteristics,as in wearing different colored clothes,as a result we wrongly identify the person or self to be labels associated with his body.Being unable to see past the labels to the person himself,we end up in a world of barriers and conflicts.
enlightened persons are free from such clouded visions..the wise can see the person or atma or spirit soul within the body and relate to the person,not to his body,the wise are free of prejudice racism,sexism,class consciousness,etc.All living beings are marginal eternal spiritual sparks of the Supreme being God,no matter the body,color of body,age,nationality,religion,faith,etc,or even species,are an eternal life particle,a childof God.This wisdom is the medicine that can transform a world of prejudice,wars and conflict into a world of peace and harmony,Individual happiness and social harmony are possible only when we come to appreciate our true spiritual essence.
As President Bill Clinton said in his speech in the United Nations"We all live in Boxes of different colors,shapes and sizes and how we love the boxes we live in "believing we are the box"In Jesus name.
This world is filled with hatred due to lack of spiritual vision.People see with their material eyes Al Quiada,Abu Sayaf,MILF,Muslim,Taliban,Palestinian,Iraqi,Jews,Bandits,Criminals,Blacks,Whites,Brown,Yellow,young,old,male,female,long and short hair,all they see are bodies or boxes and the different kinds of bodies.
Spiritual education is the development of spiritual vision such as seeing"Here is a spark of God in a brown body"and so on. A person with spiritual vision sees all people as children of God,even though they have different kinds of bodies.When there is false identification with the material body,there is ignorance,and ignorance results to hatred,wars,and conflicts,such as one race hating another race,one religion hating another,religion,Being a Born-again Christian,Catholic,Buddhist,Hindu,Muslim,Jewish,etc,are all external designations.
Today everyone is fighting over property,natural resources,and turf,but actually everything is Gods and every person is a child of God,all this is unnecessary and based on ignorance,not knowing who you realizing this we willnot hate anyone or anything,we remember our common father,the source of all of us,our relationships no longer strangers but relatives to love,respect,tolerate,relate with spiritual vision,seeing the Supreme Lord within everyone and everything.
